Well the game has now been played your team was down 20-0 at the half and lost by 4 td's overall!! Now time to give you some older statesmen advice- DONT TAUNT THE TIGER- YOU MIGHT GET MAULED!!!!

Lets get a few things straight first off- today our offense was missing Charles Futrell AKA-Sticks 6'7 Wide Reciever out of UNCC- Also missing off the offense today a 6'4 Wide out from the University of NC Defonte Coleman AKA-T.O! Missing our speedster that can blow past almost anyone with great hand John Sellars and our unusal center Dot!

So in a nut shell we were missing four of our normal 6 offensive starters and it was still 20-0 at the half!! So in other words did you really want to see our real squad????? I mean my boys played great but most of our offense today NEVER PLAYS OFFENSE!!!! But congrats you guys did stop us once!! Great job!!!

Angelo maybe all that mess you were talking works when you play teams like Average Joes or Wolverines etc... But come on kid you were rocking with the best today (Well our b-team best) and you all got knocked the fu#$ out!!

Maybe next season you all might want to evaluate your Elite status???? I mean you guys would do great in the premier league I'm sure!!

And before anyone says anything to me just look back at the board I said nothing until I was called out! So yes I am 37years old which is probably at least 10 years older than you my friend Angelo but I will leave you with this!

LOL...Good one FAN!!  Mr. Angelo, as stated in one of my earlier post, I can appreciate what you are doing, putting it out there that you are the best...The advice I gave was that I sure hope you are ready to back it up cuz this league will humble you...Tell you what, I look forward to you beating up on our receivers...Good luck w/ that and I hope we can still shake hands after what is going to happen to yall this Sunday...Now on to Jacob...You know you sound like a spoil brat who has never won anything and your response is so indicative of a loser who does not know how to go about learning how to win.  Typical bravodo of pounding on your chest and dropping your pants to see who has the bigger one.  (I'll win in those contest too BTW)..."its ok to stay on the jocks of the Oilers, Thunder, and Blincos, waaa, waaa, waaa".  If acknowledging 3 of the winningest flag franchises in NC is jock riding, then so be it...And it is something you will never experience as your pride won't let you sit around and watch teams like them play so you can improve you game...You are happy staying in relative mediocrity while trying to learn something the hard way that you probably have never done..Win!!! I have been in this league for 6 seasons and have played for 2 teams, Oilers and Assault (Strikers were the Oilers under a new name due to some disciplinary reasons after season 5) And it just so happen, I have 4 taffl titles....But I also have 6 8man league titles, 4 8man state titles, a bunch of 4 and 5man tourny championships, and...you get the point, yes I like winning and like to associate myself w/ winning...You ought to try it sometimes...So pls come pissed off and hyped up for the game...It more enjoyable beating the crap out of a person when you know they gave all they could...Shakespeare out!!!

Wow I thought every game was gonna be a battle especially when i saw our division! I will be hangin around to see Blinco's vs Oilers game in a couple of weeks that should be a great game.

Well hopefully this means in the end (talking playoffs) the best teams will be there and maybe some surprise teams! Man i can't wait till Sunday - I havent balled since Orlando!!!

What have you done since last season, that makes you think things will be different this season?  This is a message I pose to all but maybe 3 teams (Oilers, Thunder, and Blinco's) because they have taken good steps to being better than they were last year. i.e playing in tournaments, key player acquisitions here and there (that kid Julius for Blinco's is sick)...But for the rest of the teams out there with aspirations of winning the TAFFL bowl, what have you done since last season, that makes you think things will be different this season?  The Assault got better, schematically and with a key player acquisition.  What have you done?  Are you suppose to show up Saturday or Sunday and things just happen for you cuz the flag football gods like you?  Playing against inferior talent in other leagues ain't going to do it, so what is it?  I would like for every game we play this year to be a knock down drag out game, with us coming out on top in the end of course...I am trying to burn calories and blowouts do nothing for weight loss goals...But it will not be because some teams think they got better simply because ahhhhhhhh, well I don't know....So call Berman a cocky, arrogant ass if you want...Call our team a bunch of arrogant assess too...But ain't no team working harder to get better and stay on top than we are. The harder you work before the season, the harder it is to lose during the season...Refuse to lose!!  Why in the hell do you think that we showed up Sunday, in a completely different mindframe that Saturday in the registration bowl?  Losing is contagiuos and spreads like a virus, so we had to eradicate the virus by putting a plan in place, that played to our strengths (w/out Bergman being there) and allowed us to win a buch of close games....I wish every team in this league could eventually reach the level of competiveness that teams like the Oilers, Thunder, Blinco's, and Assault have, but that ain't happening!  So confidence is great, you are suppose to back you teammates up on this board 100%, but I ask

Okay 1st of all, lets get this cleared up before anything else is said on this subject! No one is crying about the schedule. I only made a point of emphasis! I stated something that I believed and I gave some feedback to back what I said up. Us playing Assault or Thunder is not the issue. I was really talking about the fact that we play both of them in a double hitter 1st week. I just simply said it seemed odd, and that it was funny, and I wanted to share that with TAFFL. Now everybody can comment to this. I bet u more than one person and not even from my team would see where I am coming from especially what's been said about Da Inc from the beginning as far as us belonging in Premier! U made a reference about us crying about playing Eagles next week or whatever in an apparent attempt to play us like we are scared to play teams! We backs down from nobody! So let’s get that straight!

So again, to reiterate whether or not it was done purposely, it is what it is. Our goal will be to knock these boys off, and again I expect A games from each team! Cole if you think this is bulletin board material for Steve and Assault then so be it. If they see these messages and think we are scared or crying like you indicated then they'll be in for a rude awakening come Sunday!!!!

I'm new to this league so trying to figure this scheduling thing out here.  Am I reading it correct that Blinco's doesn't play in week 1 or 5 yet in week two we have to play on Sat and Sun?  And there is an open spot on that Sat so why not play both games the same day or move one of those games to week 5 when there are only 3 games that day?  Kinda hard to get guys to commit to two days on a weekend for only 1 game each day.  Good luck to everyone this year.  Hopefully us old guys can compete since what I am reading is we are washed up and a bunch of has beens.

Looking forward to a great year in the Premeire leageue with TAFFL, the regulators did what we expeceted ourseleves to do. That is run a tight defense, and hope to catch opposing defenses sleeping on different caidence calls, slow routes, and longer developing plays. We may not be a very "athletic" or "explosive" team, however I feel that we can pick holes in defenses with precise routes and combitions on defense! I was actually impressed with ReLoaded until the wheels came off, you guys have talent but don't play with each other well. There seemed to be the usual "JAW JACKING" on the sideline instead of coaching/cheering on your team mates! DA ZOO, a squad that also has misplaced talent, and some serious burners....but lack of continuety kept them mostly on the end of some whippings. WHO DAT was a squad with a bunch of guys who WANT to WIN, however it's going to be a while for these boys; as they are learning the craft that is 6 man. Thunder was Thunder, THEY ARE WHAT WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!!!!!! They run a speedy offense, keying on big plays and mismatches; and have athletes at every position. It was one of those situations where we had to hope to catch them napping on certain 2nd and 3rd down plays, that led to our success. And them being the crazy athletes they are, led to our defeat on the INTERCEPTION JUMP on the last play of regulation. That was a pass that was OPEN, and I would throw again.....He made an outstanding play on the ball......

Well that was just a synopsis of what I saw this weekend, coming from your Favorite Premeir league QB (Ok...next to D.SMITH/KING/TAKEOVA/Whatever name we have for him this week).....

Any who got a chance to check out some action this sat, and sunday. I must say that almost every team out there looked pretty good to some point. I was impressed with Regulators, Avg Joes, and ReignMen. It really shows what you can do with a team that has great chemistry, and is willing to work for one another. Looks like it will be a intersting season. Although everyone have Da Inc odds for winning it all 100 to 1, we'll be ready to ball. We've been a vetern team for a long time now, no superstars, just ballas! That's exactly what we will do. Ball!! Goodluck to everyone, hope we have a injury free season! In Big Al words!! King while your out there pointing out bad teams and putting people down in a league where were here to be competitive and have fun realize a team does not define every person on it. we almost won the second life tourny and would have been in the championship tourny had we not had a bad start and lost to two teams we would have easily beaten later in the season. We lost our whole team and have a whole new start no quarterback or experience. I can play on the elite side of the league but my loyalties lie to my friend and coming out each day giving my best and having fun. Im a very competitive person and want to win. I played for the four an elite team and helped them win against a team they lost to later the next day i have talent, im not saying im great but i know the game, were here to have a good time dont run your mouth and be ingnorant im not here for the drama if thats what you want go be a cheerleader or figure skate with adolescent women...

I hear you Steve B but Reloaded will not get no competion in our division!These slow soft teams cant match up like this weekend with the regulators we didn't practice just met each other but yet was dominating the game. To comment on what "king" wrote i agree with what your saying but on the same token we have to look at this from TAFFL business prospective.

Personally I think TAFFL is the best league going and this problem surfaces in every league. Your gonna have your top teams your mid-level teams and them your teams that just flat out suck!

As a player on one of the top teams I love playing teams like the Oilers, Blinco's, Thunder and few others because i know that there's going to be a lot of excitement and usually one bad play or call and you can lose. As a competitive athlete you have to love those games. On the same token its boring as hell when you play Average Joes, Diesel etc.. While we laugh and joke beating teams by 50 points gets boring! And to take it a step further for teams like us that travel and play in very competitive national /regional tourneys it really does nothing to prepare us for that type of competition. On another note when it comes down towards seasons end (And this happens every season) when a team like Diesel or a team like that which has one win on the season and they have to play a top team they know have no chance of winning guess what-THEY DONT SHOW UP!! It sucks!

So for the top teams and the bottom teams I think having different divisions really does work. The only question is the mid-level teams. I'm just afraid that there is going to be a shortage of Elite teams and most teams are going to chose lighter competition. I really dont fault them (Personally I wouldnt chose that route but I'm not them).

Last thought on a TAFFL business prospective it makes sense to have levels. Teams are clients and Marcus is running a business. If you have teams that are playing at a level that is fun and competitive they will remain happy and committed to the league hence forth HAPPY TEAMS WILL REMAIN LOYAL CONTENT CUSTOMERS SEASON IN AND SEASON OUT! Teams that go 1-6 with 6 blowouts will drop and take up bowling!

I'm a big fan of the tourneys and I think we should have those instead of playoffs! Have your season and let the season outline what the seedings will be for season end tourney. Do it all on one weekend double elimination tourney. Everyone gets to have a fun season so they get their monies worth and at the end everyone come together for a season ending tourney.

Well after playing in this weekend tounery this past week I see one thing! The teams are all even with the exception of a few!So back to my argument form a month ago,Why have elite and premier?If you wanted to do that you should of had a tourney before the season like the registration bowl to determine were people play. first let me address Big O'!I know Travis wells,Marquis poteat,Cory Rush of the regulator,are all Shaw footbal alumnis.I know our first year when we brougt football back we went 7-3 after club year.Then the next year 10-2 only lost to fay state and tim montgromery lead team saint augs. We finished CIAA champs and pioneer bowl champ beating tuskegee!If we would've listin to what other people said and done we would never been able to achive that success. Status of the Elite league..Thinkin' with your heart and not your head!!!  Their are tooooooo many teams in the Elite division...Not to the fault of the League, but to the fault of you guys out there thinking w/ your hearts and not your heads!!!  I have been there...Years ago, I was part of a top 4 "A" division team as we called them back then for a number of seasons, but I decided that I wanted to captain my own team...Putting pride aside, I dropped down to the "B" League and watched "A" teams weekend and out....I even traveled w/ "A" teams and learned schemes that I saw on the road and brought it back to my sqaud...Our first year in "B", we got blown out in the championship game, next season we won it...We then moved up to the "A" and became a top 3-4 team...We never won it all (i.e Blinco's), but we competed and won more than our share. (including a first round victory over blinco's, Kilpatrick groin was ripped that game but that is only a minor detail) in a double elimination state playoffs (Blinco's still won the state championship, but once again minor details)...This league has more than enough teams and talent to have 3 division if it wanted too.  So playing against talent is not the issue...10 teams, that all there should be and here they are, in now specific order:

Assault

Thunder

Oilers

Warriors

Eagles

Blinco's

Dazz

Raw Talent (If team that left returns and are in shape) Bad Boys A list

To the other 5 teams left off, lets be real...What have you done to really be in this devision?  The first 8 names have either been in or won a recent championship or tournament...And the last two, A-list won what could be considered the Premiere championship last Year and the Bad Boys are a veteran team that came on strong last season (But they could be losing their status this season w/ players leaving to play for other teams, i.e Da Zoo)..Don't get pissed, prove me wrong...If any team in the Elite Division loses a game by more than 28 points...Revoke their status!!!!  If you lose 3 or more games by 20+ points....Revoke their status!!!  I say that to say this...I feel that the 5 teams I left off will fall victim to one of if not both of the things I laid out....Hey, just one man's opinion...Don't get mad, prove me wrong!!!! Wow I mean we get's no respect around this joint! I mean I know we haven't won any ships or anything, but I figure our consistent play, our good defense and or play would land us better than ranked 13 in the bottom of Elite!!! I mean come on fellaz, really I consider that a smack in the face. Even if you may not like me or Da Inc, you have to admit that's pretty low!!! But hey it is what it is. Ok here it is Cole...You have always done a good job of trying to give the people what they want. i.e the Great Wall of china event during All Star weekend which turned out to be the best event of the day outside of me winning the 2nd consecutive hands competition after I said I would.....AGAIN!...Now here this, Biggies need love too!!!!  All of these stat categories are catered to the tiny guys...Even though my first year in the league I was ranked in the top 10 I believe it was in receptions as a center...We need our share of the PUB!!!  We want to be Beast of the Week!! The term rocking with the best was a status TAFFL already had as long as The RDU ASSAULT is in!

Last time i checked we are the only two time national champs in Raleigh! Oh yeah and we beat beat Blinco's twice down on Florida in route to our second National Champ! Blinco's should worry about being the #2 team in the league I don't think they'll beat the Oilers!

I've been hearing all this gripping about who playing what devision. what does it matter. I dont really care about most folks opinion. Noone really knows what we are bringing. but does it matter. At the end of the season your going to have your winning records and loosing records. Its doesn't matter if you have 16 New Orleans Saints playing each other someone has to win someone has to loose. I personally prefer playing against the best. Because I have a competitive nature, and thats the way Im built. So I like all the odds. I know our overall record doesnt reflect very well, but we were in many dogfights with some of the best teams, and was on the rise untill the delay. So end my addition of 2 cents, the president has created the 2 league venu to keep compitition competitive for the first time, next year will probably have a better look on who should play where. So I would be focusing on getting my team prepared to play some football competitively which ever league your in. Peace Out

I can't believe that the TAFFL tourney is not going to HAPPEN!!! Someone explain to me why you would not enter your team into a local tourament???

All you guys talk about this and that yet when the opportunity arises to play a weekends worth of ball very few teams come out, whats up with that???

The odds that your gonna win are slim but there the same odds as winning the league!! In one weekend you have the chance to play almost as manny games as you would play in a season- WHY WOULD YOU PAY YOUR MONEY FOR THE LEAGUE BUT NOT FOR THE TOURNEY??

1st Point - Mr. Wright you did beat us, but we beat Royal Flush, and that doesn't make us deserve anything.

2nd Point - We both got beat by the same team, *Warriors* and ya'll lost the game 42-6 on the first game of the season where teams are still trying to figure out there offensive scheme. We lost 26-6 the next week afterwards.

3rd Point - Ya'll lost to the Wolverines, or should I just say Dexter Jr. Which was there first WIN of the season.

4th Point - We both beat the same team, *CC Diamondbacks* ya'll edged them out 12-6, however we blew them out 24-6.

5th and final point - Just like we beat Royal Flush but lost to the Warriors, our only win over a semi-great team means absolutely nothing. SO, out of your season, other than beating us (another semi-great team) what the hell you bragging about. At least, our team made it to the Elite Final 4.  "Oh yeah, you beat the premier league champions. That's what's up dog." How about you and everybody else shut the hell up. Play your games this season, and prove you deserve to be where you at. Simply put. Because after going 4-3 in regular season, we then went 3-0 to finish out the season, and showed we are better than everybody else in premier. Now are we ready to take over the Elite... probably not, but we sure as hell going to give some teams hell. My main point is, stop trying to use our game as a barometer, as to why ya'll should be in elite, bc technical we weren't an Elite team yet. That was our rookie season. We had 3 ppl with previous Taffl experience. Now, you a vet on this board, you suppose to know, you don't come at anybody without any facts or "stats" ( I had to add that one LMAO, I know you got stats, thats for any rooks that try to say something), or you will get blasted. Also, if you notice I only write when I get tried of the BS, other than that I say what I got to on the field.

1.  It is amazing to me less than a month ago you were asking to join my team, even playing with us in the Winter Shootout.  When the rest of your “team” was suppose to show up to a practice… you had just one guy…you. So who is this so called team that you even have… at this point… you don’t even have a roster.  Maybe if you spent more time recruiting and filling out your paperwork, instead of waiting like a school girl to see what my reply will be… then your “team” would actually exist.  What have you won since college? Any tournaments? Any winning seasons? 

2.  Did you take the offer to play your way into the Elite? I don’t remember seeing that notice?  Man up and put your team out there to earn it… or shut the hell up.  I put my team out there with no question when challenged, can you do the same?  If not… then please don’t bother to respond to this

3. Then you were dumb enough to knock the talent in the Premier division, knowing you are going to have to play all of them this season.  You basically told them that they are SLAPS (I think you meant saps).  I am sure that they will remember that during the season, if not, I will be on the sidelines reminding them that you don’t respect them. 

Unless your response includes a date, time, and location that you can play us, something your team or you have accomplished on the field, or who and when you plan on playing to earn your respect… please don’t bother to mention my team again. 

And Que- I am disappointed in you for backing down.  Don’t tell me your boys got pride while explaining why we aren’t playing.

One other thought! I always here of teams talking about how they want respect and want to get better etc... Well guess what playing in tournaments for cash against great competition in pressure scenario's THATS THE ONLY WAY YOU GET BETTER!!!

If I had a dollar every time I hear players talk to me about how they would travel but, or we were going to go play in this tourney or that tourney out of town but!! Well whats your excuse for not playing in a LOCAL TOURNEY?????

If you want respect THIS IS HOW YOU GET IT!!!! You get 12 guys and you play!! Please dont tell me that you all are playing in the RDU Flag Football league thats why you cant play in the TAFFL tourney??? lol, Hey Big O, just for kicks, you have us ranked 9th, and D-list all stars 5th. You know after our much anticipated, and hyped match up per message board we beat the brakes off them last season knocking them out of the playoffs (yeah I'm starting already...lol)...... Yeah sure this is a whole new season, but just wanted to throw that in.

Also dag why we got to wimp out of a game with Regulators. Da Inc never backs down. The boys on my team won't allow that! C Joy, Maine, Angelo etc.... So get that ish out of ya'll headz! I love how we still don't get any respect around these parts. Even from the teams that would be ranked under us! The issue were working on is beating the upper tier teams and becoming one. That would be a valid knock against us! But the teams ranked with us or below we beat pretty good. If you look at our past two season's the lower tier teams we beat them convincingly. So for real I don't want to hear any talk from those guys about we don't belong in elite. Well heck than we don't belong in premier either because that would be too easy! If you need facts to back this up, just look back at our schedule and scores the past 2 or 3 seasons, or holla at Cole for some validation!!!!!

Tourney football is what this sh$% is about! The cost per person is only what $30 a guy, dont tell me that $30 is to much of an investment for a weekend full of football, smack talking and having some fun playing ball. Just for fun, here are Shakespeare's Elite division Power rankings (As the teams are listed now):

1. Assault (I mean c'mon, any debate)

2. Thunder (Lots of rumors, but they still have Borowitz and they can find other athletes) 3. Oilers (What is their QB situation? Can't put at #2 w/out knowing that) 4. Eagles (Veteran team, great atheletes, needs to put it all together) 5. A-List Allstars (Athletic and Hungry, yea higher than most would think but I got a feeling...woooooo woooooo) 6. Warriors (How do rumors get started?  Good QB, could be losing some key players that will lead to an average season) 7. Bad Boys (After being whooped in wk 1, finished the season extemely competitive and depending on if they start how they finish, could have been as high as #5) 8. Dazz (I almost hate putting them this low, but what have you done for me lately? do d-do do! ooooooooo yeah!) 9. Da Inc (Que, don't let me down, I am giving you a higher ranking that most would expect. I have to say with what I am hearing and your committment to winning, your team will compete) 10. Average Joes (Competetive team,needs to increase overall team speed.  Gave DA Inc edge simply for that reason) 11. Raw Talent (Yea, much lower than they want. And I am probably going to hear about it.  But taking a season off, plus the last season they played, there weren't the same team that made it to previous championship games) 12. Die Nasty (Welcome to the Big Leagues!!! A team that if they stick together for a couple of more seasons and work on their game, could eventually be right outside the top 5. But for nowwwwww) 13. Four (Seasoned QB who will have them competing well w/ the bottom half of this list.  Will come out on the short end of some competetive games.  14. Da Zoo (WTF?  The team could be completely different from what they used to be. But what they used to be were a bunch of atheletes, w/ no QB running 100 mph in the wrong direction.  Get a QB, get in sync, and maybe, maybe, this team will show that they should be in the Elite Division..Odds of that happening..Slim to none... 

Premiere division to follow, feel free to comment, curse, make your own list...But remember, this is for fun and only one man's opinion...An incredibly smart, well versed in the game of football, former collegiate and professional athlete, and whose football IQ is in the 200's, yet still...One man's opinion...Shakespeare out!

You know what… This is to all the Elite teams, and Que, any anyone else who is reading this.  If you are an Elite team, then you need to be prepared to defense your status at any time!  By playing in the Elite, you are saying without question, that you are one of the top teams in this league… period.  Any if you are one of those teams that people question if you are really an Elite team to begin with…(Da Inc, Da Zoo), who are considered one of the weaker Elite teams, people in the Premier league (Regulators) will come after you!  It is not to say that you can’t play in the Elite—(actually… hell.. yes I am)… but that you better damn well be prepared to justify your Elite status at any time!  So yes, I suggested that you play for your Elite status.  Because as one of those bottom teams, you have a target on your chest… and it’s not going anywhere until you prove it on the field!  As I said in my first post, I want to earn it… not justify it on a message board….I wanted you to know that I am going for my “ship”.. This season, Premier in this season, Elite in the next… period. 

To the Premier teams (D. Smith)….. if you think you are ready to play a schedule like Thunder, Eagles, Warriors, and then Oilers as your first 4 games, and not be 0-4 at the end, then challenge it by offering to play whoever the front office picks to a one game- if we win were in-game.  And when they promptly whoop your ass…. Go home and enjoy the premier league, so that when you play those teams again, YOUR READY!   It’s not that if you’re a Premier team, that you CAN’T beat and Elite team… I am sure some of you can…. But can you do it consistently, and be a .500 team in the Elite league..No… then shut up and recognize that you want to play in the ACC, to win your conference championship… instead of the SEC to win a Conference championship…..

When I made the reference that if your are not trying to win a ship then you should be in the premier division, it wasn't to diss the teams that are down there. I had also spoke on the fact that the premier division was good to grow and build. Now you cant grow and build and also be trying to win a ship to can you?? So all I said was that if ur playing this game, it is for the fun. However goal in the elite division is to win a ship. Now I don't know if premier get's a shot at it or not. But I don't think so. The Stipulations:  If the Regulators win (or according to sources 'WHEN' the Regulators win, Da Inc. must move to the Premier™ Division!  This challenge arising after Regulators Front Office management found it 'absurd' that Wright would suggest that if you were not looking to win a 'TAFFL™' Championship then the Premier was the Division to be in.  The Regulators who recently declined their automatic Elite™ Division status, by being a TAFFL Bowl Playoff team a season past, has been applauded by fans and players alike to have the 'maturity' to take advantage of the opportunity to use the Premier™ Division to become a better team.

Captain Al Dunston defended the Regulators position by saying, "We know we can play with those guys [Elite™], but we also know there is still tons of room for us to improve before we can say we are going to win a TAFFL Bowl Championship."

The questions now remains if Da Inc. will accept the challenge?

Sup to all. A couple of things. Yep I agree with Tory, and Big O about basically thinking 1st before just jumpin out there. Speaking from the path my team had to take we got beat down almost every game, guys didn't show, no QB all that in the beginning. If premier was around at that time that would have helped big time. However I will say by playing against the likes of the elite teams it showed me as a captain what I needed and should be doing. Now of course that's better said than done as far as adding key parts. Some teams get richer, while the others stay avg. In my case a add here and there, and development keep us locked for playoffs and stuff. I now finding myself at the crossroads. Fun is going to come regardless. Its a lot of good guys here, even Bergman....(lol) But it's all about that TAFFL ship. If you are not shooting for that, then well Premier is good for you. While we are all fam, I'm tired of seeing Assault, Oilers, Thunder etc dominate the headlines. What's the saying on that, if you don't like something, shut up and do something about it right!!! lol Make some room boys, that's all I'ma say!

Big Al, as Tory stated, that is wisdom!...Handled like a true professional and like someone who wants to be around for a while and compete for the crown...The premiere league is going to have some of the best battles of the year...As I said in one my earlier post, it is not a question of athleticism is most of these team cases...It is a matter of schemes and truth be told, a QB....But even before you can land a prize QB (i.e Bergman, Kilpatrick, Borowitz, or Shands, EDITORS's NOTE: Cole), teams can learn to play freakin defense!  A qb is not needed for that...Tighten up your freakin defenses guys and you can compete in every game you play...Take some time and look at what works for other teams and adopt it as yours....Ain't no patents on any of this stuff (I know, poor grammar, particularly for a Duke grad)...Put time in to improving your teams, and it will pay off...And defense is where you start...Get a strong rush, a good flag pulling LB and DB's that do not give up the deep ball...As the fields shrinks, it gets harder for the offense, there is your oppurtunity as a defense to compete...Hey Marcus, after 3 days, burn this message as I just imparted some wisdom on those who are willing to listen....Shakespeare out!

So again, the post was not a challenge from me or the Royal Flush personally, that was a call to action by the Triangle Area Flag Football League....will you accept?  If not, then what are we talking about...because really I'm going to save my $1000.00 Now I would be willing to put my money on the Assault that they would make it to the TAFFL BOWL before the Blincos or better yet, BEAT YOU in it!  HEHE!!!

I enjoyed the shout out or call out on the front page.  All in good fun...let's see if you can take it as well.  My cell phone was burning up yesterday from guys asking me if I saw it.  So today I read it and I see the carrott dangling but I am just sorry that we will not be able to play your team first game of the year!  Tired of hearing about Blinco's.....I didn't think you listened to anybody. LOL I'd really like to flush the royal out of your team.  What happened to royal flush(that is your team isn't it)?  3 years or so ago you told me at Cedar Hills that you were ready to take us on....I said let's put a grand on it.  Still waiting for the phone call.  Early line is 28 pts.....ohhh you 're bringing the refs so it may be 13, at least 2 td's will be called back.   

We are in for the preseason tournament if there are enough teams but I would like to know where we can find..... what will decide seedings other than rankings on day one and how will the seeds be determined on day two.  Game times (range)?

It takes maturity to make the decision to go to Premier if you're offered the opportunity to go to Elite.  A team who builds a solid foundation in Premier for a couple of seasons will probably be a much stronger team a year from now, than a team who struggles/argues/fights/loses confidence playing in Elite.

Let me just address this, so there are no questions. 

1.  Yes, the Regulators earned the right to play in the Elite league.  We were in a division that sent 4 teams to the playoffs, 2 of which were 3-4 last season.  2 teams in my division played the Assault to OT (Thunder) and a last second lost (Eagles).  We achieved something that ½ of these teams out there didn’t, which is make the playoffs.   I’m not asking for props…. Just need to educate some people, if you are going to use my team as an example of going into the Elite, get it right.

2.   With all of that said, we made a decision to move down to the Premier.  I also want to stop and thank Rasool and Shakespeare for our conversation at the end of last season, which helped lead us to moving down.  We can compete in the Elite, no question, but as a second year team who is rebuilding, (I can admit that), I want a season to work on our Chemistry.  As we learned last season, having a tough schedule early makes that difficult.  So we want to earn our respect on the field, and not “make a case” to prove where we belong.

Hello league, can't wait for the season to come on around...I truly wish the more teams from NC would show interest in competing in 5 man on the national level...NC is still trying to get solid footing in 8 man on the national level (Shout to them Oilers), but we got 5 man on lock!!! Even with Blinco's and Assault playing in the championship game, there are other team in this league that can go to Orlando, or travel and compete well...As much as NC team can dislike each other, when we go to nationals, we are all NC and yall would have been proud of your boys Assault...We had the best QB, rushers, DB's, Center (shout out to Dot who showed his ARSE in the semi and champioship games...And of course the best blocker (it wasn't even close, I think saw Steve take his shoes off and clip his toe nails before throwing a TD on one play)...I say all this to say to Cole, this is a good league w/ good competition...I expecially appreciate the separation of the divisions this season as it will turnout to be the most competetive season ever...

Just a quick recap from Orlando! North Carolina probably had the best representation down in Florida than did any other state!!!!! At the very least we made the best turn around then did any other state!! 2009 NC did very poorly across the board- 2010 was the year of NC!!!

RDU Assualt won the 5man national championship in 5man A division!

Blinco's from Raleigh came in 2nd in 5man A it was an all NC finals.

Oiler's put in work in 8man! After an early loss they came back strong and rolled off 3 or 4 wins in a row to make it to the semi finals!!  

The cardinals made it to the B-5man championship!!

Great job to all the NC teams-

lol, Greetings from sunny North Philly!!! While I am on vacation, I'm taking time out to chat a lil while I'm drunk as a fish.....lol And my post and typing skills are still tops!!! Hi guys....lol....that sounded so gay...LMAO!! What's up fam, that's much better. I'm in such a festive mood...lol!!! Man oh man....Hodge relax, relate, release my man!! You're probably going to hate me for this, but this is flag football. No salaries, no endorsements, no t.v. time, no espn...nothing. Just a bunch of guys getting together during the weekend or the week to play some football. I know you're pissed about the whole shady business, but if you feel that strongly about it don't deal with they guy. Seriously, I don't know if you guys have tried it yet or not, but with all the talent we have in N.C. we all should put together an 8-man squad and travel. You guys hit all the tournaments out of state the 5-man, 7-man, 4-man...you all should come together and form a monster 8-man squad and compete in the Nationals in Florida. Imagine it guys...no disrespect to the other teams in the league...Assault, Oilers, and Thunder joining forces and doing the 8-man & 9-man in Florida. Guys talking about they like to hit, well i've played in the 8-man down there and they hit. From reading Bergman's post about he hears guys saying if we could hit in this league..I would this and I would that. Well fellas, Florida Nationals is where it's at. IT'S JUST THAT SERIOUS DOWN THERE!! I know for a fact we could make noise down there, but it's just a thought!! I'll be down there this year routing you guys on, so I wish you all the best.

Bergman "Tom Brady".....words of reason are good right about now considering the situation. Hodge may not say he's upset, but anyone that didn't know him would think he has a lot of animosity right now towards you. So hopefully...I do stress "hopefully" he can find it in his heart to let go. In the words of the Great Joker, "Why so serious!!!" Yes, Tom Brady you are in my sights. You got a lucky win this year, yeah I said lucky. I'm hoping we can meet again next year when we're not playing in the mud bowl. Wow who would have ever thought that Hassan "Man Juice" would be the voice of reason!!! Hodge, Hassan and everyone else that is just laughing along with all this- FELLA'S I do all of this IN FUN!!!!

Seriously lets look at who i pop off to- Hodge is my favorite target. Why because #1 I know he is going to come right back to me and give it back just as hard as i gave it to him. Also i respect the Oilers and like I have said in several posts this year I know when we play the Oilers its gonna be a great game and generally one or two mistakes ends the game. Hell yes I threw something out before the Championship to the Thunder! I mean seriously I love Ryan and Dre, I always enjoy jawwing with Hassan. Whats the fun of playing ball on the weekend if we cant get a little friction going. 

But make no mistake about it if the Thunder were on the road playing in a Tourney I'd be right there cheering them on! Just like I'd do for the Oilers, Blinco's etc... See fella's at the end of the day we all represent NC football!

I mean lets review this past year - Horrible appearance in Orlando (So did you guys)- Went to the finals in Texas- Won in NYC- Won both tourneys here in Raleigh and Durham(Beat the Oilers both times in the Championship Once in Durham when Chico was your QB and once in Raleigh when Marcus was your QB)- One two Taffl Bowls (Knocked the Oilers out in both Once when T was your QB once when Tim K was your QB) and one Taffl spring tourney.

O my bad I forgot to mention you guys won 2 8man "C' tourneys! Hodge I can see why I piss you off so much! You have to yell and scream for respect - i just win and get it!

First of all like to send congads to Assault anf TAFFL for a great game and good events afterwards. these are the games TAFFL is all about very competitve and hard fought. As a team player ai enjoyed the hard fought game between the teams. Not going to lie didnt want to  lose but hey any given sunday. Cole you have to admit this is what u wanted to see in your league, hard fought games with no blow outs. The events after wards were great as well. Most say this old man held his own......................lol! Looking forward to next season with two good legs...............lol! Heck let me say it like this been off this board for a long time, dont talk junk  or any thing liek that but my man Hodge told me couple years ago sometimes i can be too nice.........Hodge at times you are right on the money............i guarantee, especially if we can get rid of this Fonte' rule the nice guy is dead!! Hodge Hodge Hodge- Seriously how insane do i make you??? I mean it must kill u every time I win especially when it comes from knocking your team out- But every year you have an excuse for why.

I guess this year its because you didnt have dzoe! And it was my fault?? Hey Playboy lets review- How is the one that would give out suspension? That would be Marcus Cole. Not Me! What's good TAFFL fam. Yeah yesterday was truly monumental! Great games all the way around. The skills comp was excellent. lol why did I get in that 40yd dash??? Anyway I held it down in 2nd place in pull me if you can on one leg!!! But got smashed in walls of China from my manz on Wolverines! Props to u cuz, although I slipped....lol Then Big O had to hold me on our one on one!! lol yeah I got a lil strength... Na very good way to end things, hats off to Assault yet again. Big O, Rasool, and the other event participants. Oh congrats on the National finally beating the American league to end that 3 straight. My final post of this season! To everyone out there that doubted us -HAHA!!!!  

A few truths (and remember sometimes the truth hurts)-

Truth #1 THE REGULAR SEASON MEANS NOTHING!!! Now let me clarify- We want to win every game- Trust me regular season- playoffs - tourneys- hell even pick up games we want to win them all-BUT! Here is the difference between us and some of our competitors -

The ability to make the big play when the big play needs to be made!!! There isnt an exact stat for it or a line item to justify it but that is the biggest difference between us and some of our biggest competitors!

When we have the game on the line WE KNOW WE ARE GOING TO WIN!!! Others dont! So congrats to all the undefeated teams in the regular season! Here is the sad but true truth- The only team that is going to be remembered and talked about is??? You guessed it THE ONES THAT WON IT ALL- That would be the RDU Assault!!

Truth #2- I'm tried of listening to others that say- THIS LEAGUE IS BORING!! Well it appears that your bordom gets in the way of your winning championships! Be bored once you did more then have a great regular season- Complete what you started!

Truth #3- THIS IS NOT TACKLE FOOTBALL!! If I hear one more time- If we had pads on etc.... Newsflash WE DONT!!! And to all you hero's out there only a handful of guys in our league actually were good enough to make that statement because when they did have pads on they played to a high enough level that A. They played college football at a high level and B. An even smaller group played well enough that they actually got paid to play football. What makes me laugh you never hear those comments from any of those guys! It makes me laugh purely because when i was a real athlete many years ago I didnt even play football I WAS A BASEBALL PLAYER!! It would be like me saying "well get up to bat against me, then well see whats up"???? It would be dumb if I said it and its dumb when others make similar comments! But for the record I would strike you out- FYI haha!

Truth #4- Taking someone out on the sideline or on a blindside- It doesnt make you a great hitter- It makes you a cheap shot! Everyone out there is playing for FUN!!! Yes the game is rough and sometimes stuff happens but theres a big difference in a play that guys where playing hard and something happened and a play that someone got lined up and taken out. We all have to wake up the next day and go to work- Keep that in mind.

Back 2 Back!!!  Hate if you want, still doesn't change the outcome...Great game Thunder, you guys brought the champioship game intensity...Now re-introducing, your 2-time, back 2 back revolving bullet champion.....SHAKESPEARE!!!!  Immediately following Shakespeare's second champioship in as many competitions, president Cole was overheard telling the press that they would be changing the name of this event going forward to the "Just give the damn medal and money to Big O" event...The "Great Wall of China turned out to be a great event...The blockers flexed their muscles and it was a fun event that everyone enjoyed...The "Just give the damn medal and money to Big O" event was enjoyed by all, but their was very little excitement as I posted the two highest scores of the day and revoultionized the art of catching while doing it (Ok, maybe that is a stretch but damn, I MADE IT LOOK EASY)....It was a great fun Cole...To those who did not attend, I encourage you to do so in the future, those that have attended, have not been dissapointed yet....Shakespeare out!!!!!  Until Assault win the tourney in two weeks!  (couldn't resist)

Alright. I will give this a shot again. I am new to the message board talk. I tried it last week but for some reason it didn't get posted.

Its ok to be confident, hell even a little cocky, but I do not ever recall games being won on paper or through a war of words. All I am saying is that come the end of the day Sunday the best team for that day will win. I expect a good game from both sides. Respect is earned and I think the Thunder has earned respect. We are in the Championship game for a reason. So for the Assault to already proclaim themselves champions then I think that that shows how much they respect us. Just a lil extra motivation.

Its really lonely on the message board at this time of the season! I mean i should know I've been here like 6 times before! No more D.Smiths or S Dunns, no Hodges , no Ghosts, no Steve AKA what ever the hell he goes by- Just me in my about to be 7th Championship lonliness!!

M Cole you were so close!!!!! See thats what happens when you pad your schedule from jump- Great record but you really dont know how good or more importantly how not good your team is! Congrats you won some hardware I think one of your recievers did as well but now your on the sidelines.

I'd like to talk sh#$ on the Oilers but to be honest i really think those guys have a great team!! Seriously I always know when we play the Oilers things can go either way! I want to take a second and congradulate those guys on a great season and a great playoff game! 25-24 that says it all!

Actually this is the first season where I have played a full season and didn't make the stats station, or even make the All-Star team. I must really be Ketchup now...lol!! Hey Cole, as returning hands champion, I feel that I get to select my position ...With that being said, I want to go last...It also looks like you might be like on rushers...Put me down as a rusher too...I sure that you have it covered, but in the "great walls of china", there has to be a clock...A clock for the qb to throw the ball or you can even factor the clock into the scoring...For example, after I block "tabasco" for like 60 seconds until he falls out due to exhaustion, I get 60 points!!!!!  LOL...But on the real, lil dudes, it is going to get ugly for you...No game distraction, just you and either Big Al, Big Shem, Big Dunn, and yours truly...Man, win lose or draw, it is going to be fun watching the pain inflicted on yall...I am not sure that yall undertand how a pass rush drill works....1 on 1, we know the snap count, only thing to focus on are yall...Ohhhhhhhh, this is going to be ENTERTAINING!!!!!

And I just want to send a shout out and say I 'love' you guys...(no homo)..and I really am not trying to be biased, but you all make TAFFL what it is.  I mean I literally find myself at times getting more excited for TAFFL whether I am playing or watching than I do for the NFL...sounds crazy I know...but in all my life of playing 'recreational' sports I was always left so empty with the games.  That's why when i created this, it had to be an experience ... it had to be different than anyone else did it, every idea was FRESH, NEW, and ORIGINAL...I didn't bite off anyone!  And that's the thing, you all have made me continue to give it to you rawer and rawer each and every week, season in and season out.  That's why we won't stop ... sooner or later (sooner than you think) ... there's going to be TAFFL TV ... so a special thanks to YOU for awakening this sleeping giant ... because TAFFL's blasting off to a whole NEW DIMENSION ... and I promise you don't want to be left out.  Recognize, TAFFL IS A BRAND ... not a fad (because Fads come and you best believe fads GO!) Well I had a fun season everybody, but yesterday proved too much for me. A combo of slippery field and getting pushed out of bounds resulted in a fractured left clavicle. I'm done probably for the rest of 09, but hopefully i'll recover fully and come back next season.

Hopefully my boys will hold down the fort while i'm out and bring home the 2nd life title again. Good Luck

Well well well. The All-star rosters has been posted, and we will again have the mighty AFC, going against the NFC. I'm thinking this will be the 3rd straight victory. I do see the NFC has some upgrades over there. It may not be as lopsided a victory for us this season. We got the top 4 rushers, and the Int champ, representing 1 of 5 of Da Inc players over here though. Any-who, after Da Inc handles there's, the AFC will handle there's. Oh and Bio dome!!! For all of TAFFL, T.Mack especially don't get those young puppies (Wolverines) slaughtered!!! lol

First I want to say that I had a great time in my first year in this league. Our team controlled our own destiny for the playoffs yesterday and came up just short. Dexter Russel just barely outdid me - his 3 rush TD and 1 rec TD to my 1 rush TD and 2 rec TD - that proved to be great matchup, and I look forward to hopefully playing them in the second life tourney.

On the negative side...why on earth would the GAME clock run on a conversion attempt with 9 seconds left in the game? If that really is the correct rule it needs to be changed ASAP. Granted we should've taken care of business and held them, but running the game clock on that just seems idiotic to me. Thoughts?

Anyways just want to say a couple of things. As being a member of the PUC I want to bring some things up that I witnessed yesterday. 1st of all want to give props to my man Deezo(spell check)Donald Thomas for manning up about his actions Sunday. I know you and Hodge are good folks.  We all know in the heat of battle tempers flare, and katz do try to be dirty on the low!! But don't lower ur standards for these few individuals! We are all grown, and have kids families etc. Let's at this point be accountable for us, and captains out teams!!! What happen yesterday in the Assault game, and the Eagles, and Infinity game should never happen again. This is not a backyard football game. It could have gotten really really ugly yesterday. We got families out there, babies, kids, etc. You got to think of these things 1st before reacting! We are all part of a growing organization. Who would want us on their field if were bringing crap like this to their fields!! That's 1 reason right there Biltmore is home! I've talked to most of everybody in the TAFFL family. Sup Taffl world. Well the playoff picture is clear for the big boys. 1st I'm start of by saying good game against the A-List. Man we hyped this game up like a heavyweight boxing match!! That's what up, nothing but respect though fellaz. Keep the boyz together though Easley, so we can do this again next season. Did EB play though, didn't see any stats????? lol

I think we just wanted this game more making, amends for our inconsistent play. Come to play for the big games, but get lost for the average games. So although me and RO have been going at it for season's, I don't blame him for going against us, and the other folks here. So it's time to put up or shut up. It was some nice football today, Eagles and Infinity game was real good. Oilers brought da noise against Assault. And Mr Cole, out of retirement I'm thinking wraps up a Passing title, and possibly the MVP if the numbers are correct. Don't know if he qualify for Most Improved???? With 21 playoff games in place to play and the rain taking one of those playoff dates, similar to our Softball League, we may be forced to play some games on Saturday, Nov. 14th and Saturday, Nov. 21.  Also note that games will begin at 8:00 am until we are finished with the season.

Captains this is where we need your prompt and immediate attention.  The Front Office needs to know the following by Thursday @ 8:00 pm.

1) If you are available for Saturday Games (although keep in mind this may not be a voluntary actuion) and you may HAVE to play in order to participate in the playoffs.  The Second-Life tournament teams will be scheduled on Saturdays first, if Saturdays are deemed necessary (which the likelihood is pretty high). So work with us.

2) If your team will be available on Sunday, November 29th (Sunday after thanksgiving).  In the past we've tried not to play games on the holiday weekends, but we've also noticed a trend for teams and players to be around this weekend...and if we're going to be around, we might as well get it in!
 
As always we do not intend to inconvenience any players or teams, and apologize profusely in advance, yet the rain always wrecks havoc on scheduling and it takes a concerted effort from everyone to get things back on track.  With Coed being played concurrently, we have to get their games in also.  Again, Captains, please let us know immediately, if you do not let us know your availability, you can't get mad if it doesn't work out for you.  So players, please get with (and on your Captain) to let us know your team's availability, if you have a Captain that slow pokes around LOL (and I know a few of them)!
*LAST NOTE:  With that being said, a complete remaining schedule should be posted by Friday, November 7th, @ 8:00 pm as long as Captains work with us.

We've received ?s regarding how the three-game minimum affects certain players in the playoffs.  Simply put, if a player was listed on a team's original pre-season roster, and that player paid in full in Week 1 (or during the pre-season tourney) they will be eligible to participate in the playoffs regardless of how many games they played during the season.  The easiest way to look at this is that once you pay your registration fee, how many games you play is up to you.

If you are a free agent and not listed on an original team roster and are playing for the first time after the season has started, or at least through Week 3, then you are required to play three games with your current team to be eligible for the playoffs.

Everybody has an off play, half, game, or even season (as Dazz is experiencing right now). So, before I come up here with excusing as to why I'm not leading the league in sacks, I'll just point out, I'm still top 2 on both tackles and sacks.

Stuart- Boo-Yah, well again, some will argue that isn't enough. Your team is still 4-2 and about to play a hungry Da-Inc team. What's your plan?

Steve- I'll bring Que some alphabet soup, so he can eat his words. That dude, isn't going to touch my QB. Stuart if you've noticed the whole season my QB has only been sacked twice. There is a reason. Because if he rushes Dylan, the dump pass to me will go for 6 "EASLEY", oh i mean easily. Que will still be sitting at 7 sacks and 1 safety at the end of the game, please believe. Come into the game not respecting me at center if you want... :-)

Stuart- Steve you must be butta, cause you been on a roll this season. 18 tackles, 8 sacks, 3 safeties, and didnt I hear you got the snot bubbles knocked out of you one game on the 4th play of the game, and you came back to finish off your opponent with 4 minutes left to help your team secure the win.

Steve- Yea, I did, its all in a days work. But really, its all on my team, those guys really stepped up. I appreciate JohnRay, Tory, Dylan, Shaun, Daniel, Eric, Olufemi, and the rest of A-List for coming out this season, and making this franchise what it is and what it is becoming, a family.

For one Scotty, your playoff potential is safer by not playing and you're lucky to not have a game as a loss could easily put you out the playoffs, then you'd look foolish for even wanting to play a game you don't need or had to play. 

But to anyone else who thought this a great idea, it's not and I won't be working it out. :-)

Whats good taffl world. Good games on Sunday even if Assault didn't play...lol. Anyhow I'm all for the A and B and possibly C division thing. Captains of there squads just need to get out and recruit and practice. But you just can't go against the same team week in and week out, to me that seems BORING. I agree with Big O, be together have a scheme, maybe travel a lil bit (it don't have to be 6 man) you can get better as a team. For teams not to show up, well that's y'all money gone. If I pay that amount, you damn skippy I'm going to get my team there win or lose. You don't have to play just the season, play in some of Mr. Cole tournaments (promoting your league can we get a discount sir...lol). Competition do be out there. Just my two cents fellas.

Okay Marcus sorry I didnt see that Diesel was gone so you answered one part now can you address my second point- Can the teams that are forced to play less games play each other? For example if the bad boys are supposed to play diesel this weekend let them play us! 

And you have an open time at 1:15pm let the CC D'backs play Average Joes. This way all teams get to play their 7 games. I mean I know why you dont want the Assault to play that 7th game! Between me missing a game and now with this forfeit your thinking you have a passing title!!

I hear ya Galer, but we are not in the business of teaching teams how to play ball...While you are right that some teams,not all, can get better by playing the better teams...What have the Giants, Diesel, etc learned this year...Nothing, but the same lesson the Dark Stars learned last year...And that is that the good teams in this league are really good and they probably won't come back next season...The good teams are good because they have put in the work, been together for a while, developed a scheme, recruited well, etc...All the things needed to make a good team...You have to remember that the good team pay their money too to play good games, not give lessons...Imagine new teams playing in the B div, honing their skills, developing their schemes, competing and building confidence...In time, the overall level of play for the entire league improves, and you also retain those teams that look at this as just some rec time....My two cents any how...But beating a team 99-0, 60-0, etc and having forfeits is not a good plan...

Sup TAFFL. A couple of things. Just to get into the division Debate thing. I can see why the A, B, C thing comes up, but you will have problems and blow out's with that as well. For example, (And not putting any teams on blast here, nothing by it!)Big O said Da Inc belongs in the B bracket with Die Nasty, Warlocks etc.. Well we blew out both teams. Lost to Oilers by 2, then lost to Wolverines. How can you accuratley place us in a divison?? And Dazz, Dazz is having a bad season, but they was in the championship just a couple of season's ago. Can't be in B either. So the debate will continue as you made some valid points. But I would say we keep it like it is.

Next thanks for the love Marcus on that Ravens comparison. Which leads me to this. When we clinch our Playoff birth this week against D-list, we will have the top sack/and tackles person once again in me, and Max Kilpatrick "Mr Thankyou" INT leader. Oh and top rusher Joe. Its a hard call when you get into different divisons for anyone thats running the league, it will be more work. So Marcus thats ur call.

i just think there should be some recourse for teams that have to suffer through a forfeit. Maybe on the last weekend of the season all those teams that took forfeit wins could get matched up against each other.

It appears that diesel has forfeited a few games prior to this past weekend and i wouldnt be surprised if they dont show up this weekend. Teams pay their money to play and its not right that they shouldnt get to play all the games they paid for.

If you want to take it past just "you paid for seven games you should get to play seven games". When it comes down to playoff seeding points do count to a certain degree so why should any team get seeded lower just because they were unable to provide points due to a forfeit.

Thats my 2cents does anyone else feel the same?

What's the deal guys? No love for the Storm beating Trojans 32-0? Christ we even did it with FIVE players. I heard a rumor Trojans didn't have their big dog, but one of our top WR/S has missed 3 games including this one. We're looking forward to a good matchup for the final game against Wolverines. We scrimmaged them before the season started and they've come a LOOOOOONG way, but I think their 2 game win streak stops on Sunday.

I agree with a bunch of the other comments being posted about different level leagues like A and B. It's pretty clear that there's a top 12 or so up there in the A level, and it's pretty clear there's probably 6 or so teams in the B level. You just gotta figure out where to put those middle teams to make it even. Some might actually prefer the tougher competition in the A-league.

And you can also do transfers for top and bottom level teams. Something like the top team from the B league HAS to move to the A league the next season, and the worst team from A league has to move to the B league. These are just thoughts I'm spittin out. Hopefully they help a little.

Well written Mr. Galer and that would be the 10% I and the competition committee find hard to take away from those teams who are new or are just one or two pieces from being 'great'.  Indeed the skill based idea would have placed you both in the B Division and it has clearly been shown you guys can compete.  It's just unfortunate at the start of the season, we just don't know what teams are bringing to the table.  Also, in keeping our league as close to the real thing as possible, it only seems to work out evenly...TAFFL: ASSAULT/WARRIORS NFL: PATRIOTS/COLTS  TAFFL: DA INC. / A-LIST NFL: RAVENS / CHARGERS   TAFFL: GIANTS / DOGS NFL: RAIDERS / BROWNS

Yes, you eliminate some forfeits, some blowouts...but do the on the cusp teams really get better playing lesser talent and beating up on them all the time?  I think you would still see a division of power even in a 'b' division, and going to 'c' and 'd' would be sick!  Great for a having that many teams, but that would suck to have teams that bad period, they would never get better because they could never really assess what their major needs would be.

Yea.. i'd say I disagree with the divisions.  IF the divisions had been enabled for this season, then I think it's safe to say that both A-List and Die Nasty (the only two new teams in the top 10) would have been put in the B or C division based on the fact that nobody knows our level of play.  That would have never given us the opportunity to play solid teams such as the Warriors and Royal Flush, and we wouldn't have been given the opportunity to rise to the occasion and play to our abilities.  I think weaker teams learn a lot by playing the better teams.. and you just have to either 1. personally step up your level of play to match your better opponents or 2. recruit and get someone on your team that can.  Take the doses of reality and learn from them.

Big O and others, first let me just make sure you understand that this is not a topic that has to be debated, as i agree 90%  with the division of teams based on skill-level, etc.  How quickly you all forget that this was proposed at the conclusion of last season. Here' the story.  However, it was the teams themselves that didn't seem to like this idea as much.  I know several teams, who may not be doing so well this season,  refused to go to a B-Division and I can't blame them.  As the league grows and all the points you all make validate further skill-based divisions, teams may not have a choice.  So just hang tight and let's finish this season and you should be assured that this topic will again be addressed in the offseason meetings!

Steve, don't go so hard on the Diesel....But this really stengthens the arguement that if we have at least 16 teams, we need competition driven divisions (A and B divisions) A for for the guys that are a bit more serious about this game than it being just a recreational event to pass the time (B)....To come out on Sunday not play because a team has forfeited is not a good look...plus I don't that team would even consider coming back to take the kind of beatings they took this year.....But fastforward to a season where there are two competition divisions...Now you tell this same team that they will only be playing their calibre type teams....They will be playing teams that they hae a shot at beating every week...The now alos have a realistic shot at making the playoffs too!!!  Then you also provide incentives for thsoe team that want to be in the A division but don't have what it takes just yet...So what happens to them, they go out get the neccessary pieces, they get better, they win games against like competition while developing a system, and if they win the championship, the move to the A division....It works both ways too, it an A team sucks, they will be presented w/ the oppurtuntity to drop to the B (I say oppurtunity becuase they are paying their money so if they insist of being gluttons for pain by taking butt whoopings each week, so be it)...Just for kicks, here is my current break down of an A and B division...I am going w/ an 8 man A division where everyone plays each other...That will make for a much larger B division...Or you could even have a C div..I don't care....Just no more of these ridiculous blow outs and forfeits!! Here is my list, bring on the debate...It is close to the power rankings, but w/ an actual does of reality...Shakespeare out!!!

Wow... we "SUCK" now? We played 3 of the top teams in the league and lost with a team that was slapped together a week before the start of the season...DAZZ, Royal Flush and Bad Boys... and we "suck"? We beat the teams we were supposed to beat, ya bum.

That was the cheapest, lamest, bootleg of a quote by a person who refuses to identify themselves against a team that wasn't supposed to BE HERE this season in the first place. This team has played as hard as they could with barely any personnel and if you have any knowledge of what we've had to go thru these past 2 seasons to keep competing you'd keep your bum a$$ mouth shut.

I've finally found out how to get some attention on this message board... I'm a real dude and I don't do alot of back and forth because my "word" is all I have if you know what I mean, But I was always told that if someone has a problem with you or comes at you in a disrespectful way then you should handle the situation. What's going on TAFFL. Allow me to introduce myself for those who don't know me. Jesse Wilkins is my name. I got a profile pic now so I'm official. I said I wouldn't say anything until I had one posted. What's going on with all the glogs and the picks bruh. I think some of you guys just talk to the crowd instead of telling the truth. I rather have games like we did today other than some of these teams doing all this talking like they are good and ain't played a over .500 team yet. Guarantee! Is that how you feel.....The only thing that you can guarantee is that 1. you are getting old 2. your ball will be not all the way inflated 3. Classic fellaz, Steve comes out with a left jab to the jaw. Then a left hook to the body followed by a right uppercut that stunned his opponent. But Steve is smashed with a straight right from Marcus, then a 1, 2 to the body. Then Rasool crashes into the ring wearing a parachute helicopter kneeing Steve in the eye! You said that 'A great team is only a good team without their QB' - but don't good teams have to win?  I'm not sure  if you were referring to the Assault when you wrote that, but last time I checked, your team hasn't won many games (actually any..but i could be wrong) when you are missing from QB.  Oh wait, there was that one game against the Woodpeckers in Season 7, in which you guys barely escaped 20-14 on a last second TD play (against the ROOKIE WOODPECKERS with TRAVIS APTT at QB).  So with that being said, is there possibly another classification you can give your team when you are not there, because GOOD definitely is not the first word that comes to my mind.  As a matter of fact, how about we use a word that we all know you are quick to throw around...and that is SUCK!  Yeah, that seems to work really well.  Try it with me.  'THE ASSAULT SUCKS WITHOUT STEVE BERGMAN!' - Even better how about REALLY SUCKS....ok one more time with the new phrase 'THE ASSAULT REALLY SUCKS WITHOUT STEVE BERGMAN'.

Sup Taffl family. Just aside from sports a bit. Because I have gained friendships, and a sense of brotherhood I just wanted to make mention up a topic that is weighing heavy on a brother this morning. Don't know what any of you guys family life is outside of Taffl, but domestic violence is one of the most rising act of violence. Just this morning a young mother was killed while she dropped her kids off, and the BF took his own life. My message is basically I don't want to read about none of you guys in the news. I know things can be rough at the crib, but just walk away from the situation, and live to talk and breath another day. If you have kids, think of the kids more so. Because ultimatley enough they will be the most effected by the outcome! We wonder why our children is suffering in this society today. They are exposed to much heartache, pain and suffering! Sup TAFFL, you know I got to defend my manz for a quick minute. Lets keep in mind that only Thunder, Assualt, Oilers/Strikers have championships. With that being said, the rest of us guys got to have fun somehow..... lol I would vote against banning D.Smith from the boards. I believe this is his bigeset contribution to TAFFL. (Not A Knock) He never say's how better he is over someone, he just kinda talk out his @$$. But's that's who he is. And he really do get to folks as indicated on the boards. I know I log on at times just to see what's poppin. Can't have Bergman vs Cole, or Hodge all the time..lol I think more guys, more teams should come on here more. Think about the buzz D.Smith brought to the Dazz Vs Doggs game. Before no-one may have been interested! Hell, I may call Oilers out! We haven't beat them yet, and it's about that time! Well Cole I guess your right. He would have no time on the board. I can say this Dazz is a respected team. A comparision between the two team is nothing hands down it would go to Dazz. When the Dogs make it to the ship or win one that's when he can talk. Til then, he (Smith) needs to chill. I know your trying to bring the best out of people, but damn dog REALLY.....

I was givin the green light on the  matter so here you go D.Smith....

Why do you constantly have the need to come on this board and write some of the most , simplest, annoying crap.  Maybe you just want to show everyone that $4.99 typing program you bought from Big Lots helped you wpm average.  Maybe, you can't get over the fact you figured out how to turn the computer on, because you sure haven't figured out how to beat any team in TAFFL.  Maybe your a blog queen like that Perez Hilton dude...lol.  Yeah that's it...you TAFFL's own Derrick Hilton.  Too bad nobody cares about what you have to think, at least that homo has a following.  Maybe you should check back at Big Lots where you got that typing program and see if you could buy a win. I think we should stop calling you D.Smith, here are some suggestions for a new nickname tho.....

I could do this all day but after awhile it would get annoying like one of your post.  How are you allowed to come out of your head and speak that nonsense about us praying for rain because of our numbers.  Our first week we scored and stopped a team from scoring with 4eople.  Do you have the personnel on you squad to do something like that.....(crickets,.....crickets)  Didn't think so.  So eithier way you look at it Derrick you guys are at a disadvantage.  The oddmakers where being generous with that 16 pt spread for the game.  The point is any one  of those people on our roster is more than capable of having a monster game, because we have weapons all over the field.  The best thing that happened to you was the rain because it prolonged that massacre.  You make it worse for your teammates.  Dazz never take teams lightly, not even the worst ones.  When we play you guys we are gonna put our feet on your throats and keep it there until the final whistle.  Do the league and everyone you've ever called out a favor this week, do something to get on the stat board beside stink up the game.  Better yet do it for your self homeboy.  Thats all now go back to  playing your Madden 10 on All-Pro, the only place you actually have a chance to be considered a franchise player....

I'm just going to say this Why we can't just move the weeks back and pick up from week two.Then we could just start double up as needed.I was looking forward to Dazz game and you give us a consulation prize being the storm then water it down more with a new start team.So With all that says When we come out 2-0 Oh we really have not been tested! So when would we be tested huh!So being the Dazz blow out the storm we will have to do the same huh!!!!!!!
