Lesson 1: Successful football team of flag you want to become?  Defense you must start with.  2 good rushers you must find, good athletes they must be...Emphasis must place on the rush as far too many teams, worst athletes they put there.  Many TD's opposing offenses will score, if a slow rush the defense has.  Offensively, To block, or not to block?  Questions, that is...Often, people hear flag football, and spread offense they feel they must do.  But contact flag, this is...Block you must....Option but not primary offense spread is good for...But ability to run, pass out of spread, and pass w/ blockers does a great team has.  Many TD's offense will score, when protection is good.  Concludes this session young Padwans this does.  May the force be with you....

Well it has been a while since I have blessed the board with my words of enlightenment.  So let me do so now.  Like always I will keep to my format of list and numbers so let the fun begin.

1. Average Joes, my former team, my brother-in-law captain John Branch, congrats on the Championship.  It is a little hard for me to not be salty about that semifinal game (that is all I am going to say about it), but I can and will be a bigger man than that and say I am happy for you. 

2. Reloaded, all I am going to say is that D. Smith you should remember a conversation I had with you early in the season that told you there are a ton of factors that go into winning a championship.  Attendance, organization, effort, matchups, all plays a role in the success of a team.  That crow you are eating right now wouldn’t taste so bad if you hadn’t talked so much. 

3. Premier League as a whole, Saturdays were great!   Enjoyed the energy (thanks JoCo) the development (Who Dat), team spirit (Situation) and talent (Regulators) and all that other stuff that were brought to the table.  And based on the Elite, looks like we are going to have some more veteran teams joining us for next season.

4. I would like to formally request the Royal Flush to be on the Regulators schedule for Heat, as well as Da Inc.  Da Inc, well, since they ran from my last challenge…  I figured I would offer another.  Also Mr. Cole and the Royal Flush, for some reason our paths have never crossed in a game that counts, a quite honestly, I just want to see what you can do against us.   Plus if you pick up Big O, I have to rush that game just because, its time someone make him work, guess it will be me.

And Cole, stop playing nice with Big O since he accepted your offer to protect your neck.  That was the quickest peace offering in the history of TAFFL.

You are taking this too personal Coley Cole!  No one can dispute the numbers, you are one of the best the QB's Taffl has had...I am not a Cole hater, so as I have said for the 3rd time now, "this is not a slight on your skills"...And btw, the closest you have been to staying in the pocket is when you throw all those flags against my sqaud every week!  LOL...And I tell you what...If my sqaud does not not play this summer, so we can take a little break and heal (it seems like we have been playing nonstop for about a year and 1/2), you heard it hear first TAFFL, I will gladly dawn the royal blue and give you all the protection, leadership, best set of hands, and football IQ you can handle....Hmmmmmm...Royal blue jersey.....I feel like I've worn that before.....(Go Duke!!!!)

Mr. Cole, you are correct...You did not make any reference to 'greatest' qb's, you simply said that I did not mention you when I talked about the other qb's and there is a reason for that...I have only had the pleasure of seeing you in action for parts of two season...The first season I was you was my first season in the league and it was the year that a brash new team (dem Oilers!) came in and forever changed the way TAffl would be played going forward...And the game you played against us, well lets just say that you did not have all the rules to protect ball players in place then they way you have now...The 2nd season was last season, but I did not get a chance to play against you...That's the reason, no slight on your skills, even though I do think that you should stay in the pocket a bit more and work to deliver the ball w/ timing.  You are mobile qb, so a lot of your success comes when you are able to break contain, thus bying more time for your receivers to break down the secondary.  While this is a big part of your success, it is also a contributor to your inconsistencies.  Here comes the knowledge, readers get you pen and paper ready...Ways to stop a running qb...1) Defense....BE STill!  If the defense simply stays discipline, stay in there zones and roll the coverage, the running qb will often a) tuck and run...b) throw out of bounds or c) force a throw....All good options for a defense....2) Make the running qb throw!!!  Place discipline rushers as fast or faster than the running qb, contain him, and make him throw!  More times than not you will get frustration as the timing w/ his recievers will be way off, thus leading to arguing, dissention, and then INT's...So my advice to you Mr. Cole for Heat is the following...Get you a blocker that can protect you as long as you need protecting...Get you a few receivers that can and most importantly will run more than just fly, post, and corner routes....You need some stops, digs, comebacks, drags, etc...If you are able to overcome the obstacles aforementioned

You can't build a team and grow with it!  unlike Bergman he is what you call consistent ever year the same number same outcome! Au contraire mon frere Cole....Monsieur Cole, I liken you to Warren Moon...While you have thrown for beaucoup TD's and yards (as well as INT's btw), you have yet to win the big one...Or matter fact, any game of great significance...This is not a shot at your skills as you are clearly one of the best QB in TAFFL history, numbers dictate that...but when we start to discuss who the greatest QB's are in TAFFL history....First the list is very short and secondly, the list begins and ends with Bergman....I will come back to this point later, but lets get back to Warren Moon for a sec.  Moon is a CFL and NFL HOF QB...Combining his NFL and CFL stats, Moon's numbers are nearly unmatched in professional football annals: 5,357 completions in 9,205 attempts for 70,553 yards (64,514 m) and 435 touchdowns. Just to make it known, I have no doubt that my team can compete in the Elite division. The only reason we wouldn't move up is because of personnel. If we move to Sundays, we would probably lose one or two of our best players. I just have to see if I can get my Jerry Jones on. If so, we are in.

What's up Taffl. 1st of all congrats to me again for winning the Odds Maker Challenge. Next season, I hope to have more comp! Get those pics in every week, and study!!! lol

2ndly glad to see Reloaded in the Ship for Premier. It's a good look, keep it up Smith. A QB makes a difference don't it!! lol (No disrespect to the others of his org.)

Last but not least, Big O I feel you on the ranking and everything with the Elite. The only problem I have with it is that I think your idea may take the fun out of playing a bit. Okay hear me out. To me it would seem like you would get tired of playing the same teams over and over again. Especially if your in other leagues! Now I'm not saying put everybody back together, because we don't want to see another 90 to 0 beating. But because of how many teams are now in TAFFL I don't know if it's fun to play the same teams rather than play against some new teams. Case in point, even though we would love to have our big games against Oilers, or Assault, or Thunder, it would also be nice to play totally different teams within the season as well like GC, Reloaded, Joes etc. So just my two cents. Maybe we can give an oppurtunity during the season for a team to pick 1 or two outer leaague games!

With that being said, looking forward to our rematch with the eagles after barely making it in. We are still sore from that 19 -6 L! How quickly does a game change off turnovers!! Good luck to everybody, be safe!

i am very disappointed that sunday games are cancelled this week. i was going to try for the league lead in receptions as we had 2 games this sunday.

however in 7 games (the only 2 at reciever last year, and the 5 games i played in this year) i had 29 catches and 8 TD's. not bad

i will not be here for the remainder of the season as i leave for basic training for the Army on Monday. hopefully i will be back in time for the fall season to start.

i had a lot of fun this season, marcus you really do have a great thing going with TAFFL. best of luck to everyone... especially the Eagles lets win the championship!

Sup Oilers folks. Na it's all good, never no hurt feelings. U know we good. Now some biz! Na we don't come up here calling folks out. The A-list thing is personal, its always gonna be like that....lol As far as ya'll go, I just couldn't let what was being said over there by ya'll go un noticed! Maybe someone else would have been "Oh them those oiler boys, I'm good!".....lol And run off with their tail between their legs! On our side of the tracks, we don't get down that way....... You know of course everyone will look at our record, and say "Damn Da Inc suck, they should have been in premier" Okay seriously we should be 3-4. Although it's our fault we lost the Reign Men game two bad calls against us hurt in the last couple of minutes! But even with this Elite thing, you still really have 3 or 4 top teams. The rest of us is trying to get up that mountain. So I don't think ya'll want to split into Elite A, and Elite B do ya'll?? But anyways, yeah Oilers tell Hodge, or D-Zoe come holla at their boy man. Now the last time I came up here with facts about Da' Inc... I didn't get a reply. So I'm wondering if this is worth the time. I just don't get how you can say and I quote, "And Hodge if u and the boys don't believe it, we can get it in on the field. If we make the playoffs, we may see ya'll!"

Now everybody knows that when someone says if..... They already know that they ain't doing what they talking about. You should never second guess yourself when you mean something. Everyone tried to tell y'all in the beginning to go to the Premier league and build your team up but you had to be hard headed... On the bright side; I was even pulling for y'all. Now you on the outside looking in with the worst record in the Elite, thanks to Da' Zoo dropping out lol....

If "if" was a fifth, then we all would be drunk out there on Sundays. You gotta be feeling like Plaxico Burress right now. You boys keep shooting yourselves. You have to be able to talk the talk to walk the walk. Now I know I am one of the talkingness guys on the field but if talking is getting you in trouble then you gotta know when to stop. It's called being "Humble"

Everyweek you guys try to build yourselves up by calling someone out but this is the end. Now I have no problem with Da' Inc. so before you start getting in your feeling, know that these are sticks and stones. You got us feeling like 50 cent and the G-Unit back when Ja-Rule was trying to hold on to his career. UNIT mean together so go back to the drawing board and change your team name, become a coach or something man. Something has to work.... I'm a Family Support Specialist, so I talk to people about their problems all the time. I can help you come up with some interventions. Or it might just be that this ain't your sport. smh....

Sup Taffl fam. A couple of things. Its funny how things appear. We have the Oilers, mainly my boy Hodge talking about how quiet we was when we was getting smashed. Yeah we may not have been as loud, but we was still making noise. Make no mistake TAFFL, although we are having a down season, we are still here! You will still hear us on the field! And Hodge if u and the boys don't believe it, we can get it in on the field. If we make the playoffs, we may see ya'll! And We will bring the noise, make no mistake. Da Inc will be a power in Raleigh. A TAFFL original, you katz mark my words!

Every team, or I guess depending on your play level should want to travel. Assault, Oilers, Thunder, Dazz, Blincos all have been seen all over Raleigh and outside of NC and got the blue prints for success. lol I got my handz on them, I'm just taking baby steps and tackling one aspect at a time.

you play in premier so were not on the same level...nobody thinks your good .. just cuz you were the best player on your team when you first started it means nothing ... the numbers again dont lie 34 catches in 4 years which is an AVERAGE of 1 catch a game .. wow ... point#2- for clarification i graduated from fuquay high class of '09 you can do nothing better then me i will break it down by position QB? no WR? hellllll no DB? yes Saffety? no Lineman/blocking? no pass rushing? maybe so all in all you have the edge over me in 1 position and i cried after a loss? i was sitting in my little beach chair with my head down but i cried? nah .. now you are just sayin anything and everything to try and make people laugh on the board because you no the points i have made previously ARE ACTUALLY VALID!!

nobody is coming to your aid because you are trash ... you play on saturdays becasue of your skill level not your teams and because you are not ready 4 the big boys out there on sundays ... you wont even with the premier trophy that is what is so sad about this .. another season with no trophy 4 john.

I'm still waiting on confirmation on you getting through high school. Although I'm pretty sure you didn't, I would think you are at least smart enough to know the game of football. Anybody with any credibility in this league will tell you that stats don't determine how good of a player you are. There are former NFL players in this league and hardly any of them lead the league in any category. Let me guess, you are better than them too? Furthermore, the only reason the Average Joes are in Premier is because of personnel able to play on Saturday but not Sunday. We beat Reign Men and Dazz who are both in Elite. I have explained this to you numerous times Jake but I guess I should be patient with you. Dude at least go get your GED.

I also recieved a text from John (sorry as hell) Branch this morning talking junk. John you are washed up and up until this point I was not going to talk junk to you on the boards. but you suck.

The reason i left the Joes for the Eagles this off season was because of this..

The Joes had an invite to play in the Elite league but John opted for the Premier(not knocking premier) but if you have an opportunity to play against better competition and you have a team built for better competition then you dont opt to whoop weeker teams week in and week out how is that making you better John? playing teams you no you are gunna be makes you better?

Also an arguement John and i had previously that he was gunna put up some numbers this year .. John you have played 3 games and have 1 pull and 1 lateral TD ... and its a lateral because everyone knows you have stone hands and woulda dropped the ball if it was coming at you.

@Tory G, what's up with picking Four to lose two games in a row?  After you picked your team to beat us 60-0 and then got spanked (mercy rule) you go against the unknown Four?  Don't you realize that you are disrespecting yourself by picking against us? 

@Mr. Commish, not a fan of the mercy rule.  Two weeks in a row our game was cut short.  It's not only about winning.  Many travel great distances to play.  This is our chance to shed those extra pounds.  We almost let our opponent score last week so we could keep playing.  In the Elite division it doesn't make sense to have a mercy rule.  Please consider this next season.

To my man and his team that wasn't "fresh" after playing one game! I have some suggestions if your having a not so fresh feeling day i've see advertisements on TV for women on their "not so fresh days". I believe the product is "massengil" hey if it works for millions of women I bet it can probably work for u and your team!! Or another suggestion if thats not the problem- GO TO A GYM!! Jog a few laps during the week, mix in a salad! If one game gets you and your team that winded son its time for a gym membership!

I really don't get involved in "turftalk" or anything like that, I just come to play. But this "League" that we are playing in is a great way to prove that "Reload" belongs in the top league. I am going on record to say that we will not lose to a team that "RUNS" the ball in flag football. This is a joke to me "REALLY". All this yelling and screaming to get motivate is crazy but whatever works works huh. I guess cause I have more experience playing "REAL" football than there whole entire team(JOCO), I shouldn't really care about what they do right? I know this game will be over quick. Best believe every time you run to your left your flag will get pull and please don't send "3" guys on a route( Center doing a deep route along with the 2 outside guys as well), and keep 2 in to block, that will really make me upset ,because I would"ve got up early on Saturday to stop that "Regulators" offense. Perhaps the Da Inc. in that league are the sh*t. Because anyone that has traveled knows that some teams are better equipped for different sized games (meaning 4-man, 5-man, 7-man, 8-man, etc.) BTW, we know ya'll aren't the worst team in Elite, be easy.

OK to avoid this going back and forth game let’s leave it here. 

Joco Express beat us.. period.  We underestimated your team, and you were better than we expected… period.  Your rushers did come aggressively and were good.  I have no beef with them, after the game I gave them props for effort and I am doing so now. They still had NO SACKS.. period.  We moved the ball on your defense. Period. 

No one complained or made excuses about the lost, I only mentioned the force outs because you were complaining about holding, my point is anyone can complain about not getting calls, its football.. but you won… so why complain about missed calls?

Here is what I really think.  You want more props than you have earned.  You won some games including one against us, and you moved up in the Power Rankings.  You want the season to end today, and to just give you the title now.  TAFFL doesn’t work that way.  Week in week out, you gotta step up and play, that is where you earn props and recognition.  The fact is it’s a long season, a lot can and will happen by the end.  Iif you end up on top, I will be the first to congratulate you… but until then don’t get too hyped about 1 game.   

Lastly…Strong enough… wow… that’s a new one.  It always funny to me when who don’t play my position talk… I promise you NONE OF YOUR RUSHERS or any rushers in this league would question my power including yours.  Please don’t write checks for other players that they have to cash it.

You know I see our name just can't seem to stay out of conversations. I wasn't going to say anything but something has to be said! 1st of all in the other league yeah we are 7-1. Yes it is mostly the same team. I mean you have Thundercats, Thunder, Eagles, etc that is all over there. So I don't know why references is being made like it's sweet. Thundercats, Thunder and us is all 7-1.We also have several members with team Four as well that's also an Elite.

Now I usually don't say much, because I just let my work speak for itself (appreciate the shout-out Agent 0), but there are some things that I wanted to address.

D. Smith- Bailey plays with Steel Heels, not with us.   We have guys from Four, Dunn, Dequain, and Connell. 

j-will- We are in the Elite division, not premier. 

Thunder (especially Pittman) and Assault-  Thanks for the humbling experience.  I have better prepared myself, and Da Inc. will be better prepared this weekend.  No need to talk about if we belong in the Elite division if our play and attitude says otherwise.  We'll just go out and earn our status.

Lockdown- Change your team color.  Pink is not a good look.

There really isn't a need for us to go hard at these dudes becuase it will just turn into another "manhood measuring" contest.  Lets look at the facts...Da Inc is 7-1 in that league and blowing folks out...Next fact, Da Inc is 7-1 in your league and blowing folks out...Third, Da Inc is 7-1 in your league and blowing folks out!!!  Your league is where teams from our league go to work on stuff so they can be more competitive in our league.  Your league is also there for cats like yourself who may be new to flag and it satisfies your thirst for football because that is all that you have been introduced to.  But if I gave an ignorant, dying, hungry man a slice of fried baloney and told him it was filet mignon, he is going to believe it is the best "filet mignon" he has ever tasted!  That is until he tries the real filet mignon...Then he is going only eat fried baloney when he doesn't have anything else or when he gets snowed in or something...We are Filet Mignon and you are fried baloney...I am even going to say that you are the fried balony w/ the red strip that you have to peel off before eating it...You are the fried baloney that comes in one big roll and you have to slice it yourself and the slices come out all uneven so when you fry it, the thin side gets burnt and the thick side is under cooked.  There is a vey easy way to solve this, join our league next season, participate in one of our tourny's (We will come to yours too if there is money on the line, nothing like easy money)  and find out for yourself...You don't see any of our teams running to your league trying to challenge any of your teams....That's pointless! Wow a brother gets busy at work and finds out how much people build confidence after sitting behind a computer. So let me address a few people this afternoon.

1.  Team Lockdown…  You are ranked 4th is your division and coming into another league you don’t even play in to talk junk?  Win something, earn something, then talk, until then you sound like someone’s little brother trying to justify you can play with the big boys. 

2.  I played in the tournament and from what I saw; most of the teams were weak period.  I had fun throwing around most of the rushers in that league on the way to taking ya’ll money for the title, undefeated in a double elimination tournament.  Actually I should thank you for helping donate money for our water bottles and wristbands that was paid for by teams like you, that couldn’t cut it and even give us (Eagles) a game. 

You want to come and find out, please Cole Take their  money, let them start this weekend, please let them donate their money to the league, because that is all it would be… Humble yourself, before we do it for you.

You are right, we did sleep on an unknown team in JOCO. And it took us until the 2nd half to figure out how to play against a bigger, more smash mouth sort of 6 man team. But you are also right on the fact, that we met for almost 2 hours post game, fixing what went wrong in order to not let this happen again. (And like some other teams, missing key pieces didn't help; but that is merely a weak excuse).

I give Heflin and Boyette credit, they play hard! And I will be coming out early cheering on the express vs a new Reloaded team.....

Yeah exactly Big O, but don't take my message the wrong way. I am in noway saying we have any of those issues. We EXPECT to competite for the Ship. We ain't out there just playing bruh. Me and several other guys have been playing to Long in TAFFL to be still in rebuilding stage. A lot of teams that are in Premier is 1st time teams, or teams building on what I mentioned in my previous post!

For us it's about executing! We good everywhere else. We probably can excute against a lower tier team and put up 30 or 40 points, but when it comes to ya'll and upper tier teams putting up 30 or 40 means nothing if your not doing it against the big boys! So that does nothing for us. That actually would be a lot of teams argument. They would rather play against tuff comp and learn, especially with veteren guys.

Mr Bergman, thank you for those kind words! Yes ya'll boys did take advantage of a few calls that went ya'lls way! So although ya'll was missing key players, still don't get wrapped up in that final score. But it does allow us to get back into the Lab and work on some things. And the same with Thunder. Basically anyone can play with anyone talent wise. (well if you have the talent) but it all comes down to team chemistry, time together, execution, and a QB.

Well the game has now been played your team was down 20-0 at the half and lost by 4 td's overall!! Now time to give you some older statesmen advice- DONT TAUNT THE TIGER- YOU MIGHT GET MAULED!!!!

Lets get a few things straight first off- today our offense was missing Charles Futrell AKA-Sticks 6'7 Wide Reciever out of UNCC- Also missing off the offense today a 6'4 Wide out from the University of NC Defonte Coleman AKA-T.O! Missing our speedster that can blow past almost anyone with great hand John Sellars and our unusal center Dot!

So in a nut shell we were missing four of our normal 6 offensive starters and it was still 20-0 at the half!! So in other words did you really want to see our real squad????? I mean my boys played great but most of our offense today NEVER PLAYS OFFENSE!!!! But congrats you guys did stop us once!! Great job!!!

Angelo maybe all that mess you were talking works when you play teams like Average Joes or Wolverines etc... But come on kid you were rocking with the best today (Well our b-team best) and you all got knocked the fu#$ out!!

Maybe next season you all might want to evaluate your Elite status???? I mean you guys would do great in the premier league I'm sure!!

What have you done since last season, that makes you think things will be different this season?  This is a message I pose to all but maybe 3 teams (Oilers, Thunder, and Blinco's) because they have taken good steps to being better than they were last year. i.e playing in tournaments, key player acquisitions here and there (that kid Julius for Blinco's is sick)...But for the rest of the teams out there with aspirations of winning the TAFFL bowl, what have you done since last season, that makes you think things will be different this season?  The Assault got better, schematically and with a key player acquisition.  What have you done?  Are you suppose to show up Saturday or Sunday and things just happen for you cuz the flag football gods like you?  Playing against inferior talent in other leagues ain't going to do it, so what is it?  I would like for every game we play this year to be a knock down drag out game, with us coming out on top in the end of course...I am trying to burn calories and blowouts do nothing for weight loss goals...But it will not be because some teams think they got better simply because ahhhhhhhh, well I don't know....So call Berman a cocky, arrogant ass if you want...Call our team a bunch of arrogant assess too...But ain't no team working harder to get better and stay on top than we are. The harder you work before the season, the harder it is to lose during the season...Refuse to lose!!  Why in the hell do you think that we showed up Sunday, in a completely different mindframe that Saturday in the registration bowl?  Losing is contagiuos and spreads like a virus, so we had to eradicate the virus by putting a plan in place, that played to our strengths (w/out Bergman being there) and allowed us to win a buch of close games....I wish every team in this league could eventually reach the level of competiveness that teams like the Oilers, Thunder, Blinco's, and Assault have, but that ain't happening!  So confidence is great, you are suppose to back you teammates up on this board 100%, but I ask

Okay 1st of all, lets get this cleared up before anything else is said on this subject! No one is crying about the schedule. I only made a point of emphasis! I stated something that I believed and I gave some feedback to back what I said up. Us playing Assault or Thunder is not the issue. I was really talking about the fact that we play both of them in a double hitter 1st week. I just simply said it seemed odd, and that it was funny, and I wanted to share that with TAFFL. Now everybody can comment to this. I bet u more than one person and not even from my team would see where I am coming from especially what's been said about Da Inc from the beginning as far as us belonging in Premier! U made a reference about us crying about playing Eagles next week or whatever in an apparent attempt to play us like we are scared to play teams! We backs down from nobody! So let’s get that straight!

So again, to reiterate whether or not it was done purposely, it is what it is. Our goal will be to knock these boys off, and again I expect A games from each team! Cole if you think this is bulletin board material for Steve and Assault then so be it. I'm new to this league so trying to figure this scheduling thing out here.  Am I reading it correct that Blinco's doesn't play in week 1 or 5 yet in week two we have to play on Sat and Sun?  And there is an open spot on that Sat so why not play both games the same day or move one of those games to week 5 when there are only 3 games that day?  Kinda hard to get guys to commit to two days on a weekend for only 1 game each day.  Good luck to everyone this year.  Hopefully us old guys can compete since what I am reading is we are washed up and a bunch of has beens.

Looking forward to a great year in the Premeire leageue with TAFFL, the regulators did what we expeceted ourseleves to do. That is run a tight defense, and hope to catch opposing defenses sleeping on different caidence calls, slow routes, and longer developing plays. We may not be a very "athletic" or "explosive" team, however I feel that we can pick holes in defenses with precise routes and combitions on defense! I was actually impressed with ReLoaded until the wheels came off, you guys have talent but don't play with each other well. There seemed to be the usual "JAW JACKING" on the sideline instead of coaching/cheering on your team mates! DA ZOO, a squad that also has misplaced talent, and some serious burners....but lack of continuety kept them mostly on the end of some whippings. WHO DAT was a squad with a bunch of guys who WANT to WIN, however it's going to be a while for these boys; as they are learning the craft that is 6 man. Thunder was Thunder, THEY ARE WHAT WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!!!!!! They run a speedy offense, keying on big plays and mismatches; and have athletes at every position. It was one of those situations where we had to hope to catch them napping on certain 2nd and 3rd down plays, that led to our success. And them being the crazy athletes they are, led to our defeat on the INTERCEPTION JUMP on the last play of regulation. That was a pass that was OPEN, and I would throw again.....He made an outstanding play on the ball......

Well that was just a synopsis of what I saw this weekend, coming from your Favorite Premeir league QB (Ok...next to D.SMITH/KING/TAKEOVA/Whatever name we have for him this week).....

I was impressed with Regulators, Avg Joes, and ReignMen. It really shows what you can do with a team that has great chemistry, and is willing to work for one another. Looks like it will be a intersting season. Although everyone have Da Inc odds for winning it all 100 to 1, we'll be ready to ball. King while your out there pointing out bad teams and putting people down in a league where were here to be competitive and have fun realize a team does not define every person on it. we almost won the second life tourny and would have been in the championship tourny had we not had a bad start and lost to two teams we would have easily beaten later in the season. To comment on what "king" wrote i agree with what your saying but on the same token we have to look at this from TAFFL business prospective.

Personally I think TAFFL is the best league going and this problem surfaces in every league. Your gonna have your top teams your mid-level teams and them your teams that just flat out suck!

As a player on one of the top teams I love playing teams like the Oilers, Blinco's, Thunder and few others because i know that there's going to be a lot of excitement and usually one bad play or call and you can lose. As a competitive athlete you have to love those games. On the same token its boring as hell when you play Average Joes, Diesel etc.. While we laugh and joke beating teams by 50 points gets boring! And to take it a step further for teams like us that travel and play in very competitive national /regional tourneys it really does nothing to prepare us for that type of competition. On another note when it comes down towards seasons end (And this happens every season) when a team like Diesel or a team like that which has one win on the season and they have to play a top team they know have no chance of winning guess what-THEY DONT SHOW UP!! It sucks!

So for the top teams and the bottom teams I think having different divisions really does work. The only question is the mid-level teams. I'm just afraid that there is going to be a shortage of Elite teams and most teams are going to chose lighter competition. I really dont fault them (Personally I wouldnt chose that route but I'm not them).

Last thought on a TAFFL business prospective it makes sense to have levels. Teams are clients and Marcus is running a business. If you have teams that are playing at a level that is fun and competitive they will remain happy and committed to the league hence forth HAPPY TEAMS WILL REMAIN LOYAL CONTENT CUSTOMERS SEASON IN AND SEASON OUT! Teams that go 1-6 with 6 blowouts will drop and take up bowling!

I'm a big fan of the tourneys and I think we should have those instead of playoffs! Have your season and let the season outline what the seedings will be for season end tourney. Do it all on one weekend double elimination tourney. Everyone gets to have a fun season so they get their monies worth and at the end everyone come together for a season ending tourney.

Well after playing in this weekend tounery this past week I see one thing! The teams are all even with the exception of a few!So back to my argument form a month ago,Why have elite and premier?If you wanted to do that you should of had a tourney before the season like the registration bowl to determine were people play. Looking at yesterday every team with an exception of few are elite!So start that next season and post it on the site that the registration bowl is mandatory for placing.This season Cole you should do it like the pac 10 and Sec or ACC,Were theres still going to be one champion.You can add more teams to the tourney.I'm saying what makes your league better than the rest you have top teams and all teams in this league want to play competitive games not cake walks!Oh yeah and guy this league is contact if you don't like to be touch up then play in the soft division with AL aka"Charmin Ultra Soft"oh by the way they on sale at Walgreens for 3.49!It's good to see Raw talent and the boys back they look prety good.OH big up to they squad from wide awake wilson thats T.wells boys they looked good.To all the new teams meaning the bears ,who dat and the trojans if yall need sme help in understanding the game fill free to contact me cause my goal is to make this league equal like the S.E.C!Other teams should feel the same!Now on my team stand point i just want to know how my Qb Dom "Showtime" Willis well play being he didn't play this week! Smith....I aint mad atcha...That response might have been your best, most well thought out response since the inception of this message board.  Hey guys, I am not trying to piss in your corn flakes, I just callem like I see'em...And until you get a good QB, a solid offensive scheme, increase your overall football IQ as a team, you will not beat the top tier teams...The most important words in your statement in regards to the last time you played the Assault were "Yall beat us".  The only reason the teams you have been a part of would be close in a game w/ the Assault, is that we were laughing and joking on the sideline...Regular season games are cool, stats like best defense and best offense don't mean a thing, HARDWARE MATTERS!!!  Trophies, medals, and SHIPS BABY!!!! (And pictures of your boy lying on the ground holding the number 1 finger up) Man, I think I may be playing QB in the registration bowl this weekend man...We're just trying to work up a sweat....So while I can appreciate the enthusiasm and excitement that you have in your team (feels like a deja vu moment BTW), until you tighten up your games....look, learn and apply, you will just be an average athletic team getting pounded by the elite teams...don't get mad, just prove me wrong...Shakespeare out!

first let me address Big O'!I know Travis wells,Marquis poteat,Cory Rush of the regulator,are all Shaw footbal alumnis.I know our first year when we brougt football back we went 7-3 after club year.Then the next year 10-2 only lost to fay state and tim montgromery lead team saint augs. We finished CIAA champs and pioneer bowl champ beating tuskegee!If we would've listin to what other people said and done we would never been able to achive that success. So what i'm trying to say to you is this there know question we can beat the elite teams but to go on last year recorded were i was with the dogs and half my team didn't play!What we learn from Shaw is always want to play the best never settle for anything less!I'm not like que who always got to throw that should'of could'of would'of stuff but last time i played assualt yall beat us in the last second and that was a dunn and I lead team!

Status of the Elite league..Thinkin' with your heart and not your head!!!  Their are tooooooo many teams in the Elite division...Not to the fault of the League, but to the fault of you guys out there thinking w/ your hearts and not your heads!!!  I have been there...Years ago, I was part of a top 4 "A" division team as we called them back then for a number of seasons, but I decided that I wanted to captain my own team...Putting pride aside, I dropped down to the "B" League and watched "A" teams weekend and out....I even traveled w/ "A" teams and learned schemes that I saw on the road and brought it back to my sqaud...Our first year in "B", we got blown out in the championship game, next season we won it...We then moved up to the "A" and became a top 3-4 team...We never won it all (i.e Blinco's), but we competed and won more than our share. (including a first round victory over blinco's, Kilpatrick groin was ripped that game but that is only a minor detail) in a double elimination state playoffs (Blinco's still won the state championship, but once again minor details)...This league has more than enough teams and talent to have 3 division if it wanted too.  So playing against talent is not the issue...10 teams, that all there should be and here they are, in now specific order:

Assault

Thunder

Oilers

Warriors

Eagles

Blinco's

Dazz

Raw Talent (If team that left returns and are in shape) Bad Boys A list

To the other 5 teams left off, lets be real...What have you done to really be in this devision?  The first 8 names have either been in or won a recent championship or tournament...And the last two, A-list won what could be considered the Premiere championship last Year and the Bad Boys are a veteran team that came on strong last season (But they could be losing their status this season w/ players leaving to play for other teams, i.e Da Zoo)..Don't get pissed, prove me wrong...If any team in the Elite Division loses a game by more than 28 points...Revoke their status!!!!  If you lose 3 or more games by 20+ points....Revoke their status!!!  I say that to say this...I feel that the 5 teams I left off will fall victim to one of if not both of the things I laid out....Hey, just one man's opinion...Don't get mad, prove me wrong!!!! 1. Keep it on topic- I questioned your football skills as a DB… your response did nothing to justify your abilities on the football field.
2. Keep it about the proper team-Who mentioned A- List when talking junk to you?… I didn’t… get your people right you are talking junk to.

Let me show you how it’s done. 
I am one of the best blockers in this league... not saying I am the best, because there are some great ones out there… but I am up there with them.  I can say this because, I am an All star (and is Angelo? Ah no...) Because my QB’s has taken some of the lowest sack numbers in the league for multiple seasons… and if you ask the rusher to tell you who some of the top blockers are… my name will come up more times than not.

So let me rephrase... are you the best DB on your team hands down… if you can’t say yes… then maybe saying I am the best was not the brightest of ideas to make your statement.

Wow I mean we get's no respect around this joint! I mean I know we haven't won any ships or anything, but I figure our consistent play, our good defense and or play would land us better than ranked 13 in the bottom of Elite!!! I mean come on fellaz, really I consider that a smack in the face. Even if you may not like me or Da Inc, you have to admit that's pretty low!!! But hey it is what it is. I'm not gonna whine, or cry or anything like that. It's obvious, that were looked at as being weaked, and crappy team. I guess producing at least 6 or 7 All-Taffl, and being in top 5 in each defensive category, and having a QB tie for league rushing title doesn't count for anything. So I look forward to a great season! I see the Blincos in joining the party. That's what up. Way to make headlines TAFFL.

Ok here it is Cole...You have always done a good job of trying to give the people what they want. i.e the Great Wall of china event during All Star weekend which turned out to be the best event of the day outside of me winning the 2nd consecutive hands competition after I said I would.....AGAIN!...Now here this, Biggies need love too!!!!  All of these stat categories are catered to the tiny guys...Even though my first year in the league I was ranked in the top 10 I believe it was in receptions as a center...We need our share of the PUB!!!  We want to be Beast of the Week!! I am pulling for you Angelo....This league has a way of humbling individuals that come on the boarda and lay out challenges the way you are doing....But I love the confidence young man, now here comes the hard part....BACKING IT UP!!!  That is going to be very challenging in the Elite division (psst, in the Premiere too)...For me to say that you are going to lock down either , Defonte, Charles (Big Stick), or Joh......I can't bring myself to finishing the statement....Well in any case you have given people something to report on each week after your games...Intoducing the Angelo Report!!!!  Typically these things don't last long as the individual that does all the talking is usually embarrased by either their onw indiviual performance or the performance of their team and the eventually get banned from the board (i.e D. The term rocking with the best was a status TAFFL already had as long as The RDU ASSAULT is in!

Last time i checked we are the only two time national champs in Raleigh! Oh yeah and we beat beat Blinco's twice down on Florida in route to our second National Champ! Blinco's should worry about being the #2 team in the league I don't think they'll beat the Oilers!

I've been hearing all this gripping about who playing what devision. what does it matter. I dont really care about most folks opinion. Noone really knows what we are bringing. but does it matter. At the end of the season your going to have your winning records and loosing records. Its doesn't matter if you have 16 New Orleans Saints playing each other someone has to win someone has to loose. I personally prefer playing against the best. Because I have a competitive nature, and thats the way Im built. So I like all the odds. I know our overall record doesnt reflect very well, but we were in many dogfights with some of the best teams, and was on the rise untill the delay. So end my addition of 2 cents, the president has created the 2 league venu to keep compitition competitive for the first time, next year will probably have a better look on who should play where. So I would be focusing on getting my team prepared to play some football competitively which ever league your in. Peace Out

I can't believe that the TAFFL tourney is not going to HAPPEN!!! Someone explain to me why you would not enter your team into a local tourament???

All you guys talk about this and that yet when the opportunity arises to play a weekends worth of ball very few teams come out, whats up with that???

The odds that your gonna win are slim but there the same odds as winning the league!! In one weekend you have the chance to play almost as manny games as you would play in a season- WHY WOULD YOU PAY YOUR MONEY FOR THE LEAGUE BUT NOT FOR THE TOURNEY??

1st Point - Mr. Wright you did beat us, but we beat Royal Flush, and that doesn't make us deserve anything.

2nd Point - We both got beat by the same team, *Warriors* and ya'll lost the game 42-6 on the first game of the season where teams are still trying to figure out there offensive scheme. We lost 26-6 the next week afterwards.

3rd Point - Ya'll lost to the Wolverines, or should I just say Dexter Jr. Which was there first WIN of the season.

4th Point - We both beat the same team, *CC Diamondbacks* ya'll edged them out 12-6, however we blew them out 24-6.

5th and final point - Just like we beat Royal Flush but lost to the Warriors, our only win over a semi-great team means absolutely nothing. SO, out of your season, other than beating us (another semi-great team) what the hell you bragging about. At least, our team made it to the Elite Final 4.  "Oh yeah, you beat the premier league champions. That's what's up dog." How about you and everybody else shut the hell up. Play your games this season, and prove you deserve to be where you at. Simply put. Because after going 4-3 in regular season, we then went 3-0 to finish out the season, and showed we are better than everybody else in premier. Now are we ready to take over the Elite... probably not, but we sure as hell going to give some teams hell. My main point is, stop trying to use our game as a barometer, as to why ya'll should be in elite, bc technical we weren't an Elite team yet. That was our rookie season. We had 3 ppl with previous Taffl experience. Now, you a vet on this board, you suppose to know, you don't come at anybody without any facts or "stats" ( I had to add that one LMAO, I know you got stats, thats for any rooks that try to say something), or you will get blasted. Also, if you notice I only write when I get tried of the BS, other than that I say what I got to on the field.

Don't make me do another interview. :-) Now, be safe, get healthy, and I'll see you on the field, cause I'm sure Marcus will put us in a game against one another during the season.

Now Angelo, you guys did get the win at the end of the season much like the Jets, however at the end of the year, we got hardware, much like the colts did for their Conf Championship. lol, you katz amaze me!! Seriously we have nothing to prove. We know who we are and what we bring to the table.

Actually I was gonna respond to each one of you guys separatley, but that's too much effort. My thing is this if you have read my last post. We've beaten the teams that are so called on our level and below. We have nothing to prove to these teams. While it would serve for good entertainment for me, C.Joy, and Steve to rush thru Regulators O Line, and smack up Corey a couple of times, or watch him throw pick 6's to Max, or Maine and Angelo beating up on Regulators WR's like we did A-List.(Sorry A-List) Again, we good. We handling some other business, and we'll be ready for the season with some key additions might I add. So it is what it is. If ya'll want to say were scared or whatever, yeeeeeeah okay!

D Smith- Let me just destroy you so we can end this boring conversation. 

1.  It is amazing to me less than a month ago you were asking to join my team, even playing with us in the Winter Shootout.  When the rest of your “team” was suppose to show up to a practice… you had just one guy…you. So who is this so called team that you even have… at this point… you don’t even have a roster.  Maybe if you spent more time recruiting and filling out your paperwork, instead of waiting like a school girl to see what my reply will be… then your “team” would actually exist.  What have you won since college? Any tournaments? Any winning seasons? 

2.  Did you take the offer to play your way into the Elite? I don’t remember seeing that notice?  Man up and put your team out there to earn it… or shut the hell up.  I put my team out there with no question when challenged, can you do the same?  If not… then please don’t bother to respond to this

3. Then you were dumb enough to knock the talent in the Premier division, knowing you are going to have to play all of them this season.  You basically told them that they are SLAPS (I think you meant saps).  I am sure that they will remember that during the season, if not, I will be on the sidelines reminding them that you don’t respect them. 

Unless your response includes a date, time, and location that you can play us, something your team or you have accomplished on the field, or who and when you plan on playing to earn your respect… please don’t bother to mention my team again. 

And Que- I am disappointed in you for backing down.  Don’t tell me your boys got pride while explaining why we aren’t playing.

One other thought! I always here of teams talking about how they want respect and want to get better etc... Well guess what playing in tournaments for cash against great competition in pressure scenario's THATS THE ONLY WAY YOU GET BETTER!!!

If I had a dollar every time I hear players talk to me about how they would travel but, or we were going to go play in this tourney or that tourney out of town but!! Well whats your excuse for not playing in a LOCAL TOURNEY?????

If you want respect THIS IS HOW YOU GET IT!!!! You get 12 guys and you play!! Please dont tell me that you all are playing in the RDU Flag Football league thats why you cant play in the TAFFL tourney??? That league is GARBAGE (EDITOR's NOTE:  Oh, wait but it is 'cheaper', haha!) !!!! Let's be serious is the Assault in it? Oilers? Blinco's? So really what have you gained even if you win it??? Congrats you have won what equals to winning the TAFFL preimier league!! Do you feel good about that?? Your the champs of bullsh#$!

lol, Hey Big O, just for kicks, you have us ranked 9th, and D-list all stars 5th. You know after our much anticipated, and hyped match up per message board we beat the brakes off them last season knocking them out of the playoffs (yeah I'm starting already...lol)...... Yeah sure this is a whole new season, but just wanted to throw that in.

Also dag why we got to wimp out of a game with Regulators. Da Inc never backs down. The boys on my team won't allow that! C Joy, Maine, Angelo etc.... So get that ish out of ya'll headz! I love how we still don't get any respect around these parts. Even from the teams that would be ranked under us! The issue were working on is beating the upper tier teams and becoming one. That would be a valid knock against us! But the teams ranked with us or below we beat pretty good. If you look at our past two season's the lower tier teams we beat them convincingly. So for real I don't want to hear any talk from those guys about we don't belong in elite. Well heck than we don't belong in premier either because that would be too easy! If you need facts to back this up, just look back at our schedule and scores the past 2 or 3 seasons, or holla at Cole for some validation!!!!!

What is up with the lack of team response for the upcoming TAFFL tourney??? Where are all the teams?? i know RDU is in, Blinco's I'm guessing the Oilers as well- WHERE ARE ALL YOU OTHERS?????

Tourney football is what this sh$% is about! The cost per person is only what $30 a guy, dont tell me that $30 is to much of an investment for a weekend full of football, smack talking and having some fun playing ball. I've seen enough of you boys out throughout the time spending that for a round of drinks at the bar!

Is Da Inc in??? Warriors?? Thunder?? Average Joes??? Eagles?? Bad Boys?? Dazz??? Raw Talent??? Why would you not have your squad in this?? I mean are you that convinced that you have no shot to win?? Just for fun, here are Shakespeare's Elite division Power rankings (As the teams are listed now):

1. Assault (I mean c'mon, any debate)

2. Thunder (Lots of rumors, but they still have Borowitz and they can find other athletes) 3. Oilers (What is their QB situation? Can't put at #2 w/out knowing that) 4. Eagles (Veteran team, great atheletes, needs to put it all together) 5. A-List Allstars (Athletic and Hungry, yea higher than most would think but I got a feeling...woooooo woooooo) 6. Warriors (How do rumors get started?  Good QB, could be losing some key players that will lead to an average season) 7. Bad Boys (After being whooped in wk 1, finished the season extemely competitive and depending on if they start how they finish, could have been as high as #5) 8. Dazz (I almost hate putting them this low, but what have you done for me lately? do d-do do! ooooooooo yeah!) 9. Da Inc (Que, don't let me down, I am giving you a higher ranking that most would expect. I have to say with what I am hearing and your committment to winning, your team will compete) 10. Average Joes (Competetive team,needs to increase overall team speed.  Gave DA Inc edge simply for that reason) 11. Raw Talent (Yea, much lower than they want. And I am probably going to hear about it.  But taking a season off, plus the last season they played, there weren't the same team that made it to previous championship games) 12. Die Nasty (Welcome to the Big Leagues!!! A team that if they stick together for a couple of more seasons and work on their game, could eventually be right outside the top 5. But for nowwwwww) 13. Four (Seasoned QB who will have them competing well w/ the bottom half of this list.  Will come out on the short end of some competetive games.  14. Da Zoo (WTF?  The team could be completely different from what they used to be. But what they used to be were a bunch of atheletes, w/ no QB running 100 mph in the wrong direction.  Get a QB, get in sync, and maybe, maybe, this team will show that they should be in the Elite Division..Odds of that happening..Slim to none... 

Premiere division to follow, feel free to comment, curse, make your own list...But remember, this is for fun and only one man's opinion...An incredibly smart, well versed in the game of football, former collegiate and professional athlete, and whose football IQ is in the 200's, yet still...One man's opinion...Shakespeare out!

You know what… This is to all the Elite teams, and Que, any anyone else who is reading this.  If you are an Elite team, then you need to be prepared to defense your status at any time!  By playing in the Elite, you are saying without question, that you are one of the top teams in this league… period.  Any if you are one of those teams that people question if you are really an Elite team to begin with…(Da Inc, Da Zoo), who are considered one of the weaker Elite teams, people in the Premier league (Regulators) will come after you!  It is not to say that you can’t play in the Elite—(actually… hell.. yes I am)… but that you better damn well be prepared to justify your Elite status at any time!  So yes, I suggested that you play for your Elite status.  Because as one of those bottom teams, you have a target on your chest… and it’s not going anywhere until you prove it on the field!  As I said in my first post, I want to earn it… not justify it on a message board….I wanted you to know that I am going for my “ship”.. This season, Premier in this season, Elite in the next… period. 

To the Premier teams (D. Smith)….. if you think you are ready to play a schedule like Thunder, Eagles, Warriors, and then Oilers as your first 4 games, and not be 0-4 at the end, then challenge it by offering to play whoever the front office picks to a one game- if we win were in-game.  And when they promptly whoop your ass…. Go home and enjoy the premier league, so that when you play those teams again, YOUR READY!   It’s not that if you’re a Premier team, that you CAN’T beat and Elite team… I am sure some of you can…. But can you do it consistently, and be a .500 team in the Elite league..No… then shut up and recognize that you want to play in the ACC, to win your conference championship… instead of the SEC to win a Conference championship…..

Lastly. Feel free to get my contact information from the Front office… because I am not going to go back and forth all night having simple arguments about how good you are…. Call me, email me, give me a location, time, and let’s just ball… then show me how good you are…..

When I made the reference that if your are not trying to win a ship then you should be in the premier division, it wasn't to diss the teams that are down there. I had also spoke on the fact that the premier division was good to grow and build. Now you cant grow and build and also be trying to win a ship to can you?? So all I said was that if ur playing this game, it is for the fun. However goal in the elite division is to win a ship. Now I don't know if premier get's a shot at it or not. But I don't think so. So fellaz go back and review my statement.

Now just in the spirit of comp I also said that if someone dissed us or believed we Da Inc should not be in the elite division then I said bring the noise. So is this what The Regulators really telling us?? We don't belong???

The Stipulations:  If the Regulators win (or according to sources 'WHEN' the Regulators win, Da Inc. must move to the Premier™ Division!  This challenge arising after Regulators Front Office management found it 'absurd' that Wright would suggest that if you were not looking to win a 'TAFFL™' Championship then the Premier was the Division to be in.  The Regulators who recently declined their automatic Elite™ Division status, by being a TAFFL Bowl Playoff team a season past, has been applauded by fans and players alike to have the 'maturity' to take advantage of the opportunity to use the Premier™ Division to become a better team.

Captain Al Dunston defended the Regulators position by saying, "We know we can play with those guys [Elite™], but we also know there is still tons of room for us to improve before we can say we are going to win a TAFFL Bowl Championship."

The questions now remains if Da Inc. will accept the challenge?

Sup to all. A couple of things. Yep I agree with Tory, and Big O about basically thinking 1st before just jumpin out there. Speaking from the path my team had to take we got beat down almost every game, guys didn't show, no QB all that in the beginning. If premier was around at that time that would have helped big time. However I will say by playing against the likes of the elite teams it showed me as a captain what I needed and should be doing. Now of course that's better said than done as far as adding key parts. Some teams get richer, while the others stay avg. In my case a add here and there, and development keep us locked for playoffs and stuff. I now finding myself at the crossroads. Fun is going to come regardless. Its a lot of good guys here, even Bergman....(lol) But it's all about that TAFFL ship. If you are not shooting for that, then well Premier is good for you. While we are all fam, I'm tired of seeing Assault, Oilers, Thunder etc dominate the headlines. What's the saying on that, if you don't like something, shut up and do something about it right!!! lol Make some room boys, that's all I'ma say!

Big Al, as Tory stated, that is wisdom!...Handled like a true professional and like someone who wants to be around for a while and compete for the crown...The premiere league is going to have some of the best battles of the year...As I said in one my earlier post, it is not a question of athleticism is most of these team cases...It is a matter of schemes and truth be told, a QB....But even before you can land a prize QB (i.e Bergman, Kilpatrick, Borowitz, or Shands, EDITORS's NOTE: Cole), teams can learn to play freakin defense!  A qb is not needed for that...Tighten up your freakin defenses guys and you can compete in every game you play...Take some time and look at what works for other teams and adopt it as yours....Ain't no patents on any of this stuff (I know, poor grammar, particularly for a Duke grad)...Put time in to improving your teams, and it will pay off...And defense is where you start...Get a strong rush, a good flag pulling LB and DB's that do not give up the deep ball...As the fields shrinks, it gets harder for the offense, there is your oppurtunity as a defense to compete...Hey Marcus, after 3 days, burn this message as I just imparted some wisdom on those who are willing to listen....Shakespeare out!

So again, the post was not a challenge from me or the Royal Flush personally, that was a call to action by the Triangle Area Flag Football League....will you accept?  If not, then what are we talking about...because really I'm going to save my $1000.00 Now I would be willing to put my money on the Assault that they would make it to the TAFFL BOWL before the Blincos or better yet, BEAT YOU in it!  HEHE!!!

We'll try to update about Tourney shortly!!!  Unfortunately, most teams around here don't have that tourney spirit!

I enjoyed the shout out or call out on the front page.  All in good fun...let's see if you can take it as well.  My cell phone was burning up yesterday from guys asking me if I saw it.  So today I read it and I see the carrott dangling but I am just sorry that we will not be able to play your team first game of the year!  Tired of hearing about Blinco's.....I didn't think you listened to anybody. LOL I'd really like to flush the royal out of your team.  What happened to royal flush(that is your team isn't it)?  3 years or so ago you told me at Cedar Hills that you were ready to take us on....I said let's put a grand on it.  Still waiting for the phone call.  Early line is 28 pts.....ohhh you 're bringing the refs so it may be 13, at least 2 td's will be called back.   

We are in for the preseason tournament if there are enough teams but I would like to know where we can find..... what will decide seedings other than rankings on day one and how will the seeds be determined on day two.  Game times (range)?

It takes maturity to make the decision to go to Premier if you're offered the opportunity to go to Elite.  A team who builds a solid foundation in Premier for a couple of seasons will probably be a much stronger team a year from now, than a team who struggles/argues/fights/loses confidence playing in Elite.

Let me just address this, so there are no questions. 

1.  Yes, the Regulators earned the right to play in the Elite league.  We were in a division that sent 4 teams to the playoffs, 2 of which were 3-4 last season.  2 teams in my division played the Assault to OT (Thunder) and a last second lost (Eagles).  We achieved something that ½ of these teams out there didn’t, which is make the playoffs.   I’m not asking for props…. Just need to educate some people, if you are going to use my team as an example of going into the Elite, get it right.

2.   With all of that said, we made a decision to move down to the Premier.  I also want to stop and thank Rasool and Shakespeare for our conversation at the end of last season, which helped lead us to moving down.  We can compete in the Elite, no question, but as a second year team who is rebuilding, (I can admit that), I want a season to work on our Chemistry.  As we learned last season, having a tough schedule early makes that difficult.  So we want to earn our respect on the field, and not “make a case” to prove where we belong.

Wow I was just reading over the headlines on the main page. I would love to know who I guess may wanted to know why Da Inc should not be in the elite division?? Or the Avg Joes! If this is not the case, then I apologize. But if anybody feel we shouldn't be there that's in the premier division, then we can play a game for that spot. Loser will go to premier. Hello league, can't wait for the season to come on around...I truly wish the more teams from NC would show interest in competing in 5 man on the national level...NC is still trying to get solid footing in 8 man on the national level (Shout to them Oilers), but we got 5 man on lock!!! Even with Blinco's and Assault playing in the championship game, there are other team in this league that can go to Orlando, or travel and compete well...As much as NC team can dislike each other, when we go to nationals, we are all NC and yall would have been proud of your boys Assault...We had the best QB, rushers, DB's, Center (shout out to Dot who showed his ARSE in the semi and champioship games...And of course the best blocker (it wasn't even close, I think saw Steve take his shoes off and clip his toe nails before throwing a TD on one play)...I say all this to say to Cole, this is a good league w/ good competition...I expecially appreciate the separation of the divisions this season as it will turnout to be the most competetive season ever...

Just a quick recap from Orlando! North Carolina probably had the best representation down in Florida than did any other state!!!!! At the very least we made the best turn around then did any other state!! 2009 NC did very poorly across the board- 2010 was the year of NC!!!

RDU Assualt won the 5man national championship in 5man A division!

Blinco's from Raleigh came in 2nd in 5man A it was an all NC finals.

Oiler's put in work in 8man! After an early loss they came back strong and rolled off 3 or 4 wins in a row to make it to the semi finals!!  

The cardinals made it to the B-5man championship!!

Great job to all the NC teams-

Hi guys....lol....that sounded so gay...LMAO!! What's up fam, that's much better. I'm in such a festive mood...lol!!! Man oh man....Hodge relax, relate, release my man!! You're probably going to hate me for this, but this is flag football. No salaries, no endorsements, no t.v. time, no espn...nothing. Just a bunch of guys getting together during the weekend or the week to play some football. I know you're pissed about the whole shady business, but if you feel that strongly about it don't deal with they guy. Seriously, I don't know if you guys have tried it yet or not, but with all the talent we have in N.C. we all should put together an 8-man squad and travel. You guys hit all the tournaments out of state the 5-man, 7-man, 4-man...you all should come together and form a monster 8-man squad and compete in the Nationals in Florida. Imagine it guys...no disrespect to the other teams in the league...Assault, Oilers, and Thunder joining forces and doing the 8-man & 9-man in Florida. Guys talking about they like to hit, well i've played in the 8-man down there and they hit. From reading Bergman's post about he hears guys saying if we could hit in this league..I would this and I would that. Well fellas, Florida Nationals is where it's at. IT'S JUST THAT SERIOUS DOWN THERE!! I know for a fact we could make noise down there, but it's just a thought!! I'll be down there this year routing you guys on, so I wish you all the best.

Bergman "Tom Brady".....words of reason are good right about now considering the situation. Hodge may not say he's upset, but anyone that didn't know him would think he has a lot of animosity right now towards you. So hopefully...I do stress "hopefully" he can find it in his heart to let go. In the words of the Great Joker, "Why so serious!!!" Yes, Tom Brady you are in my sights. You got a lucky win this year, yeah I said lucky. I'm hoping we can meet again next year when we're not playing in the mud bowl. Wow who would have ever thought that Hassan "Man Juice" would be the voice of reason!!! Hodge, Hassan and everyone else that is just laughing along with all this- FELLA'S I do all of this IN FUN!!!!

Seriously lets look at who i pop off to- Hodge is my favorite target. Why because #1 I know he is going to come right back to me and give it back just as hard as i gave it to him. Also i respect the Oilers and like I have said in several posts this year I know when we play the Oilers its gonna be a great game and generally one or two mistakes ends the game. But make no mistake about it if the Thunder were on the road playing in a Tourney I'd be right there cheering them on! Just like I'd do for the Oilers, Blinco's etc... See fella's at the end of the day we all represent NC football!

Hodge, everyone has their opinion about Bergman(i'm sure he really cares..lol!!). He's an a$$hole when it comes to "flag football".....face it. He has many titles under his belt and he's going to talk trash. In my opinion sometimes I feels he goes a little overboard, but that's him. Best believe, my phone rang when he spoke on the Thunder or shall I say spoke on me. I don't pay him any mind that's why you don't see a come back from me. Most folks let Bergman get under their skin and it gets personal. This is all fun and telling jokes in my opinin on this board. I wouldn't let it bother me if I were you.

On another note, I feel where you're coming from Hodge about the whole talking trash or so-called stabbing folks in the back. To those who feel they have been disrespected or done wrong( not just the Hodge & Bergman situation), at the end of the day you have to ask yourself. Were you really friends or just teammates?  If you were any kind of a "friend"  you would at least have the decency to step to your so-called "friend" as a "man" and let him know what's going on and not have to do any shady business behind his back. First of all like to send congads to Assault anf TAFFL for a great game and good events afterwards. these are the games TAFFL is all about very competitve and hard fought. As a team player ai enjoyed the hard fought game between the teams. Not going to lie didnt want to  lose but hey any given sunday. Cole you have to admit this is what u wanted to see in your league, hard fought games with no blow outs. The events after wards were great as well. Most say this old man held his own......................lol! Looking forward to next season with two good legs...............lol! Hodge Hodge Hodge- Seriously how insane do i make you??? I mean it must kill u every time I win especially when it comes from knocking your team out- But every year you have an excuse for why.

I guess this year its because you didnt have dzoe! And it was my fault?? Hey Playboy lets review- How is the one that would give out suspension? That would be Marcus Cole. Not Me! What really makes me laugh is the fact that you really think me or any of my players are afraid of the Oilers!! I mean really we have the most fun beating you guys!!! Trust me beating you all on the way to another championship makes it all the more fun!

What's good TAFFL fam. Yeah yesterday was truly monumental! Great games all the way around. The skills comp was excellent. lol why did I get in that 40yd dash??? Anyway I held it down in 2nd place in pull me if you can on one leg!!! But got smashed in walls of China from my manz on Wolverines! Props to u cuz, although I slipped....lol Then Big O had to hold me on our one on one!! lol yeah I got a lil strength... Na very good way to end things, hats off to Assault yet again. Big O, Rasool, and the other event participants. Oh congrats on the National finally beating the American league to end that 3 straight. But we'll keep the Taffl championship over here this season, And as skills will have it, it will remain over here as Da Inc will start it's own dynasty!!!

My final post of this season! To everyone out there that doubted us -HAHA!!!!  

A few truths (and remember sometimes the truth hurts)-

Truth #1 THE REGULAR SEASON MEANS NOTHING!!! Now let me clarify- We want to win every game- Trust me regular season- playoffs - tourneys- hell even pick up games we want to win them all-BUT! Here is the difference between us and some of our competitors -

The ability to make the big play when the big play needs to be made!!! There isnt an exact stat for it or a line item to justify it but that is the biggest difference between us and some of our biggest competitors!

When we have the game on the line WE KNOW WE ARE GOING TO WIN!!! Others dont! So congrats to all the undefeated teams in the regular season! Here is the sad but true truth- The only team that is going to be remembered and talked about is??? You guessed it THE ONES THAT WON IT ALL- That would be the RDU Assault!!

Truth #2- I'm tried of listening to others that say- THIS LEAGUE IS BORING!! Well it appears that your bordom gets in the way of your winning championships! Be bored once you did more then have a great regular season- Complete what you started!

Truth #3- THIS IS NOT TACKLE FOOTBALL!! If I hear one more time- If we had pads on etc.... Newsflash WE DONT!!! And to all you hero's out there only a handful of guys in our league actually were good enough to make that statement because when they did have pads on they played to a high enough level that A. They played college football at a high level and B. An even smaller group played well enough that they actually got paid to play football. What makes me laugh you never hear those comments from any of those guys! It makes me laugh purely because when i was a real athlete many years ago I didnt even play football I WAS A BASEBALL PLAYER!! It would be like me saying "well get up to bat against me, then well see whats up"???? It would be dumb if I said it and its dumb when others make similar comments! But for the record I would strike you out- FYI haha!

Truth #4- Taking someone out on the sideline or on a blindside- It doesnt make you a great hitter- It makes you a cheap shot! Everyone out there is playing for FUN!!! Yes the game is rough and sometimes stuff happens but theres a big difference in a play that guys where playing hard and something happened and a play that someone got lined up and taken out. We all have to wake up the next day and go to work- Keep that in mind.

Back 2 Back!!!  Hate if you want, still doesn't change the outcome...Great game Thunder, you guys brought the champioship game intensity...Now re-introducing, your 2-time, back 2 back revolving bullet champion.....SHAKESPEARE!!!!  Immediately following Shakespeare's second champioship in as many competitions, president Cole was overheard telling the press that they would be changing the name of this event going forward to the "Just give the damn medal and money to Big O" event...The "Great Wall of China turned out to be a great event...The blockers flexed their muscles and it was a fun event that everyone enjoyed...The "Just give the damn medal and money to Big O" event was enjoyed by all, but their was very little excitement as I posted the two highest scores of the day and revoultionized the art of catching while doing it (Ok, maybe that is a stretch but damn, I MADE IT LOOK EASY)....It was a great fun Cole...To those who did not attend, I encourage you to do so in the future, those that have attended, have not been dissapointed yet....Shakespeare out!!!!!  Until Assault win the tourney in two weeks!  (couldn't resist)

Alright. I will give this a shot again. I am new to the message board talk. I tried it last week but for some reason it didn't get posted.

Its ok to be confident, hell even a little cocky, but I do not ever recall games being won on paper or through a war of words. All I am saying is that come the end of the day Sunday the best team for that day will win. I expect a good game from both sides. Respect is earned and I think the Thunder has earned respect. We are in the Championship game for a reason. So for the Assault to already proclaim themselves champions then I think that that shows how much they respect us. Just a lil extra motivation.
